So? There are a couple pvp essences.

Lol so true. Well going go relax and take time off
Going to my work
It’s just an issue of two sides of the coin here, on one hand I can very much so understand when you come across the crowd that doesn’t want to try at all it sucks to deal with them. But on the other hand I’m not really a fan of the people that can easily enough have the opposite mentality of acting like you need to follow whatever prerequisites to just enjoy battlegrounds.
I’ve come across so many questionable people regardless of faction and gear score that I could honestly give less of a crap, as long as they’re willing to simply try their best I’m all for any given game if it’s at all manageable. The low gear score player might not do much, but I’ll appreciate them a hell of a lot more if they can reliably kick people at the right times instead of just pointlessly pumping dps out.
So yeah again I get it, but personally It’s not that big of an issue to me if again it’s at all manageable.
Well thought out and very responsible thinking very mature
I on the other hand have no tolerance for mindless players looking for XP handouts or free Essence
Was good to see you in a BG! Dope heals too
Noticing lots of these “children’s week” clueless type people popping up in bgs today, I think I’m just gonna lay low until these people go away.
How long will this event go? A few more days?
What I’ve seen today…
Minimal effort…that is the perception problem that makes this difficult to really deal with.
-
Is it a returning player that doesn’t really know what’s going on and just hit 120 today? This player may just need some friendly guidance, which is sorely lacking among the general player base. (GTFO you suck newb isn’t good, or friendly advice BTW)
-
Is it a legitimately brand new player just hitting 120 that did some BGs along the way and thought it might be fun to press that BG button again? Same as above.
-
Is this somebodies freaking alt that should know better? (let’s be honest, this is the most likely culprit)
In scenarios 1 and 2, the primary fault lies with game design. I don’t believe that BG button should even light up until a player has made at least SOME LEVEL of progress into the expansion on at least one character. maybe that SOUNDS harsh…but the rest of us have done that…and MUCH MORE. We are in the second iteration of the 3 seasons’ Battle Ground gear for heaven’s sake(460 gear).
This expansion is now OLD. The only other legitimate option would be to establish a new player queue. Which would probably have extremely awful queue times.
For the player Alts?! (scenario 3) The much more common problem? You can send that character 385 Benthic items for almost all gear slots, get a 440 conquest weapon quite easily WITHOUT going to BGs and grab a couple of trinkets off of the map and have a GS over 400 AT LEAST, in a couple of hours a couple more days? cloak done and at rank 5.
Showing up in greens is BOLD FACED UNADULTERATED LAZINESS in a game like this. We all know this and it’s my thought that these clowns are the ones that really frustrate everyone around them.
On the other side of the coin though…some people are upset if players aren’t showing up in the latest cutting edge gear with twin twilight devastation and infinite stars…so again…perception.
This is why I like that gear is gear. Imagine the fresh 120s that would actually be in a bg if you didn’t have multitude ways to get gear?
I don’t mind there being multiple ways to gear up. I simply dislike the fact that BGs are so heavily devalued in comparison with other gearing methods…(to include other conquest sources)
Be careful Gladewolf, too much truth
Eh I don’t mind it. Makes it less appealing for players to go there just for points, and I think that’s a good thing.
No, the laziness is not sticking to PVP for your gear.
All you layabouts trying to take the easy way out by PVE’ing for your gear, how lazy can you get?!
“I just want to press a WQ button and get gear…”
Why not put a little more effort into your PVP?
Why go do PVE? Just because it is faster and easier and has better rewards?
/smh
Game design and Player base.
They would totally remove ilvl for pvp and solve this issue, except then players who did a ton of grinding for things wouldn’t feel they had enough of a fair ‘bonus’ over others who didn’t do this.
They’re trying to appeal to both the players who just want to log on and be doing something within 5 minutes and have competitive casual fun – and those geared who want to be in the same pools who don’t want to step into rateds for whatever reason, prey on the folks who don’t have gear on the opposition, but complain about the same thing happening on their side. It’s a big swing, ilvl.
This specific time frame is severely exacerbated for casual pvp due to the “need” for multiple PVE-oriented, longer quest chains which require a lot of casuals returning to see if they can have fun and maybe stay for shadowlands. They’re also really spread out, and it takes a bit of time to do them. By requiring that to really be competitive as a timesink for casual pvp, and by making a really not fun situation and a lot of negativity with veteran players in gear complaining, belittling, attacking other people and telling them not even to play the game, it really shows how toxic and vile the Activision community has become as it strayed from Blizzard’s base. I feel they’re going to need to make a choice, because they’re losing a lot of potential return-sub customers with how poorly they’ve been managing things, and the state by which they’ve empowered more of the elitist gamers who still use casual, end-game pvp to discourage others from enjoying a game they might consider continuing to pay for. And if the run-buying gold machines go somewhere else, there won’t be enough subs left to puff up the numbers without empowering their developers again.
…All of us?! YOU became a Kul Tiran lore master and completed more than 100 world quests, you completed the Drustvar and Stormsong quest lines…in 2018.
You only have on 5 445 corrupted gladiator armor items…(we are in the 460 rotation) EVERYTHING ELSE YOU ARE WEARING IS PVE(that also includes the highest level items you have on btw).
Go troll someplace else please
