Twinks are usually INTJ or INTP personality types. Though Twinks are typically seen as insecure dweeb-lords or violent skateboarder hooligans, they are actually very rational and arguably sophisticated individuals.
Twinks seek to tap into our crude epigenetic hunter-gatherer code, specifically what is known as “The Ape Sensation of Domination”. Yes, it means that someone is going to get milked like a vampire familiar, but the twink also knows that life simply isn’t fair. They seek to freeze their rank in the hierarchy (iLvL).
8 Month break? No problem! When the twink comes back from partying at Dan Bilzerian’s mansion, he will still be at the top of the totem pole. After spending months getting his businesses’ profit margins in order, he logs on WoW and feeds on unsuspecting plebians with the swagger of Lebron James.
Not all Twinks are evil! Thanks to Blizzard Entertainment, twinks can use Mercenary Mode to fight for the opposite faction if one side is getting horrifically rickrolled.
“Whitehat Twinkers” will almost always swap factions if their home faction dominates two matches in a row. Whitehats make up roughly 10% of the twink community.
“Blackhat Twinkers” will not apologize for dominating your faction 10 matches in a row and want to see you uninstall the game as soon as possible. Blackhats make up roughly 90% of the twink community.
I am here to raise awareness about an ethical approach to twinking. I want more people to join the Whitehats and bring peace to Azeroth once and for all. Well… You know what I mean .
A letter to Blizzard: I want Mercenary Mode to become commonplace pre-120. If Horde has been winning 70% of the matches this week, then give Horde players a +20% honor bonus for using Mercenary Mode, and Alliance players a +20% honor “underdog” buff. This could change perpetually or once a week. It could also only be implemented if the difference in win rates is drastic.
How to use mercenary mode? Go to New Dalaran sewer entrance, the vendor is on the right. Note that you can get much faster queues using this too!
I just like to 1 shot people. I one shot people at low levels as a twink, I one shot people at max level. I just did 2s at 2200 and I ended some games in opener by one shotting people. I just get so giddy when I one shot someone.
I would argue that sarcastic paradigm comes from missing a few lines of code. Hear me out…
At max level, you may have time to gear out ONE character, but how long can you keep that up? Also, what are you playing for, the journey? Is the grind exciting? Do be honest.
The twink option is for PvP’ers that want their game time to be potent, condensed, and controlled - with them in mind. To be the player, not to be played by the game. And in the words of Benjamin Franklin, "To sip on dopamine as champagne, rather than be a dopafiend in chains."
A majority of people just want to win. They don’t care how they win. That said, there are twinks that just want to try to get the best gear for their level bracket and fight other twinks who have done the same. They are in the minority though.
This is how I play. If I’m the only twink in the game, 99% of the time I’ll run the flag or just sit off at a node and defend it myself. Pooping on people that have no chance is terribly boring.
Rational depending on viewpoints, sophisticated…no, don’t see it.
Seems right
Only 3 year olds and some college kids don’t know that.
No such thing as good or evil, morality is subjective I’m sorry to say.
I think I might, good luck with your effort. I learned pvp by leveling a toon solely doing BGs, never went back to low lvl pvp again so I honestly don’t care but it sounds like a decent idea if enough of these twinks actually are looking to even it out so to speak.
Please refrain from using shaming language on this forum. Your comment can easily be perceived as bullying. Thank you
Lots of people can’t peddle to the metal for months on end at end game, so having at least one twink on their account is very appealing.
