I don’t even think people stop queuing at 34k HP, personally. I think due to the nature of gear differences a lot more people are premade queuing. I’m in 3 PVP guilds on 4 toons, in 2 of those guilds it’s entirely common for people to ask in g chat if anyone wants to queue a random.
There’s more PVP players on the Horde side, so by virtue there’s more Horde premades. I don’t doubt Alliance is tougher to farm wins on, I just think people make unrealistic claims. But here’s the thing, whether I’m on a 200 ilvl Hpal or a 226 ilvl Hpal I’m still a better BG player than some dude who randomly queues a random on his 218 M+ Hunter a few times a week. So if he wants to beat me, he’s going to have to do it, I’m not going to give it to him. And I’ll use my kit to make him utterly miserable while he tries to faceroll me like a dungeon boss.
All I’m saying is if everyone joined BGs ready to win and trying their best, game outcomes might be different sometimes.
I love how Horde players constantly argue and tell Alliance players that their experience is wrong, that that is not how it is. God forbid Horde acknowledges the gear disparity, like it would diminish their accomplishments if for one moment their gear was responsible for their successes. And again, Horde does not have to deal with fresh 60 Mercs coming in with ilvl 158 gear, hoping for fast losses and fast Honor.
Should I post on the 199 hpal in the same guild you’re in that I rolled 2 weeks ago and got to the same rating you’re at out of lfg at 180ish ilvl in 2 days on instead?
Shh, this isn’t about my class.
Pretty sure the other guy would still use the fact that he is an hpala as an excuse to why Tactics was still doing good despite being on a low ilvl alt
Don’t get me wrong, they have some exceptional players in that guild, but I didn’t know when I joined that they had no standard for admission. Was a little surprised to see that guy here ego tripping on me for no reason, tbh. Lol
I mean… based on his experience level I can understand why his thinking is so narrow. But Yes, I’d expect that response from him.
TBH, I don’t even care about having a hpal in groups. They are nice… Sure… Aura mastery with my 3x Bommies is clutch, and having an Ult Sac is really handy even if it’s been reduced to 6 sec from 12.
Any class can achieve the success that Tactics has had. But when people want to always go ‘you play this’ it’s really telling that they are struggling to play their own class properly and are looking for excuses other than themself.
I mean it’s like The Move… Sure they have some good players, the majority just aren’t… (Probably sitting in Pika’s twitch channel hoping they get selected to get their 1550 achievements )
I have an alt there too. xD I’ve legit never seen any of the r1’s in that guild ever speak in g chat, but they’ve got some chill people. I log on and do randoms out of that guild a lot.
I think this is a very legitimate complaint. I posted a different thread a while back where I said that I got steamrolled in a WSG match, so after it was over, I looked up the armory profiles of all 20 players. The average iLevel of the Horde team was 201.3, and it included 3 people at 200 or higher. The average iLevel of the Alliance team was 184.6, and it had only 1 person above 200 (that happened to be me).
That was the only time I did the actual research, but from my own experience, I think this is pretty common. When your team is faced with a gear disparity that high, it’s hard to not get demoralized.
I’ve been playing since Wrath. Almost exclusively random BG’s with some Arena in Wrath. My observations: 1) Alliance tends to do better in BG’s that have some element of PVE in them, e.g. IoC or AV, whereas horde tends to do better if more actual PvP is involved, e.g WSG or AB. 2) Given a chance, Alliance is much more prone to do GY farming. Horde often caps the flags and moves on.
The above are just my observations and not 100% true, but on average, over the years, I have noticed this subtle bias.
