The Mag'har are evil and Yrel isn't

The holy crusade they were on was one of genocide.

Their message? Convert or die.

You’re wrong, and you’re wrong. Try again.

Somehow Genocide is ok if

Your message is just die. No other option

You wrong. Try again. You joined people who just said Die!

This post shows that you no longer have any argument, just saying.

He is a traitor. Twice over, in fact. But hey I’m not judging. To Warlocks treachery is the name of the game. Just gotta pull it off at the right place and the right time against the wrong people and all is forgiven. Now that I think about it Thrall would make a great Warlock if he’d just give up all that faffy Shaman crap. Then his name would be ironic instead of literal.

You’ve never lived on a spaceship. Gotta recycle, man.

Hilarious, coming from a Void Elf. Yrel would have you executed on sight.

Atm we only have one side of the story and during the event we have no dreanei state thier side.

The closest thing we get is s journsl item from a mini boss. Which reminds me of sargeras.

We get a 30 year time skip. And we get from the dragons some info sbout time travel and slternate realities.

I believe the au timeline is fading from existence and yrel is just trying to save her people. I bet the orcs got violent first.

I would not be surprised if we have a story of a much older yrel punching into are timeline. A sudo evil army of the light acting acting like the legion before it.

Can’t argue with an Orc in a tophat. So classy.

Sad to see a good mind wasted by self hatred and deceived by propaganda.

Yrel isn’t bad. She’s working with the knowledge that ORCS in another universe all joined the burning legion with little to no resistance and most joined for power. These orcs who so easily became corrupted decided to eat and murder all the draenei because OH WE STRONK NOW UNGA BUNGA. Yrel isn’t even a quarter as bad as the stupid orcs. You cannot trust orcs.

actually yes is was, there’s even a quest go sprinkle holy water on them.

It’s like looking through a Pink Floyd prism :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

This is what I think on why Yrel is evil and I honestly think this. Originally orcs became evil with corrupted blood and purged the draenei and draenei fled to Azeroth. We go into alternate where orcs didn’t drink the blood and we ended up uniting orc and draenei to defeat the Legion. We were the anomaly. WoD wasn’t suppose to happen. There was suppose to be one race that was suppose to become corrupted and purge the other race. So fate flipped a coin and draenei became the corrupted race and purged the orcs and now it is the orcs who fled to Azeroth.

From the perspective of a Tauren Druid. Wait, what? How the hell does that work? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I was expecting it to be a Lightblub Draenei thread where they are “Boo orcs, Yay light”, but i guess this is unexpected.

Sounds like normal people to me. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Yea not like the Green orcs where they drank demon juice. Nah, it’s the guys who has the freedom to choose whatever they believe in are the enemies, You either with or against us, i’m sure that doesn’t sound cult like at all.

Don’t really need to pretend honestly.

Just a little reminder of the “Warm embrace” of the light your referring to. :point_up_2:

Needless to say, i disliked Yrel and she was annoying to me back at WoD, but seeing her as a villain got me to like her as a villain now and actually enjoyed seeing the light being shined… in a bad light.

This sounds awfully a lot like the United States… We go in and help the bad guys who formed a resistance against the government… Then much like the Horde, we the United States, label the local government as the badguys, when in reality we are the bad guys by helping the bad guys resist the local gov’t/justice.

Orcs were slaughtering the Draenei whole sale for years before they drank the blood in MU. In AU they did it because Garrosh told them it would be fun. So your little united idea is very white washy.

Secondly the Orcs have been marauding against each other and enslaving each other for their whole history before and after the Draenei showed up. They also have a lore of drowning their weak and unworthy children at birth.

So don’t pretend the Orc culture isn’t cruel and barbaric.

So who knows maybe binding the tribes together with a unifying culture and power in the light might stop them from being non stop genocidal jerks to everyone around them which is their history. The truth is not every culture is good or should be successful.

It wasn’t a genocide. Can you people stop lying? Many orcs willingly joined the side of the light. It wasn’t a genocide it was the smart/moral orcs joining with the good guys and the remaining orcs, who no matter what will be corrupted by demons because that’s LITERALLY ALL ORCS DO, will become a threat in the future. Yrel was given a glimpse into the future that awaited her people if orcs remained in power and now they either serve or are destroyed before they become inevitably corrupted.

Many of the races of Draenor thought joining with the light and turning on their people was the right thing to do. Yrel is going to turn it into an amazing planet where everyone is lightbound and work together to create an army to destroy their universes burning legion.

Also I’ve not known the light to go around blowing up planets, burning down forests and generally destroying everything. The light can take and the light can give. There is no source of power in the entire universe I would rather live by.

Its called a cultural genocide. Its the willing and intentional eradication of an entire culture or civilization; solely because they are not your own. It also traditionally comes with the mass enslavement or just execution of any and all who do not agree with the dogma you are trying to force upon them. It is the death of a people, even if the species still manages to exist.

Also, I’m not sure where you are getting this info about Yrel? Neither side was aware of what was killing the planet, but both sides blamed the other. Hell, considering who the “Light Mother” probably is, any prophecy from that thing Xe’ra should be taken with a grain of salt. Her AU self is probably every bit as deranged and fanatical as her MU version.

EDIT: Also, as a side note, what the Horde was a part of in BfA was a functional equivalent of “attempted genocide”, but outside of the secret machinations of Sylvie … few of the Horde were actively attempting to wipe out their race. It was a fairly normal military operation against a political enemy prior to Sylvie burning the tree; and honestly remained rather mundane afterwards when the NEs attempted to reclaim their territories. It just had a magic twist on both sides.
