The love tokens, the boss loot like the necklace does and I am sure the helmet also does, I haven’t seen the toy yet in chat other than my own. No reason why the mount wouldn’t show.
But than with 250 from 880K chances (and this just being what is reported on Wowhead) and with some people just bailing before opening the box, chances are you will never see it for you or for someone else.
Yes I did several years ago. Someone in my group got it and we cheered for them. It dropped for me a few days ago and someone was in the party when I said I got it and they cheered me on. 
Well congratulations, that makes at least 3 people I have seen on these forums get the mount, that’s a little above average

You only used a partial quote. As you can easily see, there are many in this thread that have farmed it for well beyond a decade, many a player using an army of alts too. So the part of my suggestion you left out (a retroactive currency) allowing loyal players who’ve run it every day (15 days a year availability) for over a decade and players who after a decade of farming into the future who’ve just had bad luck could eventually be guaranteed to get the mount. Basically, make the grind meaningful, do the time you may get lucky but do it enough times and you’re guaranteed to be able to attain it via the currency.

Nope, I made a suggestion that would apply the same pseudo situation to all who farm it.
Those who’ve been farming more than a decade = retroactive currency = get it today/soon
Those who are just now starting, they get to play the “luck” game until they can put in the same time as the retroactive players have over the years.
A solution that would leave the least amount of butthurt cream needed in the end. Players who’ve done the grind for a decade can feel happy and avoid the feelings that some may have of being slighted if they just made it easy to get for everyone tomorrow.
[edit: I personally don’t care if they made it 100% tomorrow and everyone got it - I am not one of those who feels someone else getting it lessens it’s value in my collection]
They could create new items for holidays. They’ve pretty much neglected them.
I would kill for some new items and have a reason to run all the holiday stuff again. All I have left is the Brewfast TP item and this mount. And fat chance I will ever see this mount, not at least this year and depending on what they do next year it may just be yet another HH farm where I might get it, but probably not and than I will have two. Yes, I have 2 HH mounts.
It’s great that you’re talking about it and all, but a super easy fix would be to just not make things 0.03% drop chance, just make them 1% like many other rare drop mounts and we’ll be able to realistically expect to see it within a few hundred attempts. I’ve farmed dozens and dozens of 1% mounts and eventually they all drop, i’m not opposed to the grind (i actually like it), i just hate farming something for many years without any realistic expectation of seeing relief.
It’s better than farming a decade with nothing to show for it.

My guildies back in wotlk used to take turns the week of the holiday to farm HH and Brewfest and all got the horse/kodo/ram. Or at least most of them. I recall having to get one later. We didn’t manage to get all the drops for the rocket, though. Tried again the next year and then they changed everything.
What a bummer it is that we could get almost guaranteed drops with friends back then and you can’t replicate the same thing today.
Anyone who’s got the mount and raging about it staying rare really needs a reality check lol. It’s a dumb grind to play a random lottery for some item you’ll never even use.

no it shouldnt. the only reason people are up in arms and whining about it is because its rare. its a dumb mount i never ride it ever. i got it because i worked my A off for it. if they change the drop rate or add it to a vendor then nobody will care about it. it will just be another free mount that everyone has.
it needs to stay the way it is otherwise if they make it easier to get or add it to a vendor then it needs to be recolored or faded like the war bear.
While you guys look at it, could you look into the dungeon lock-outs for the events as well as double drops? I want to continue to run these dungeons for the currencies, but I don’t want that mount to drop on me again. I already have an extra Headless Horseman in my bank… crying.
People complain about the 1% drop items in this game all the time too.
Relax.
A 0.03% drop being upped to 1% isn’t going to ruin it.
There are plenty of actual prestige rewards to go after in this game that actually are healthy too.
For Holiday mounts, and non guarantee mount drops in general I would recommend a token system.
Say you kill the boss and loot your box and no mount, if the mount doesn’t drop you get a token. This token would be specifically tied to the mount and physical (physical like other holiday currencies) and if you collect say 50 of those tokens you can turn them in for the mount at the holiday vendor.
This could also be applied to raid bosses that drop mounts. For example Invincible. Lets say you kill LK 25H and it doesn’t drop you get a token instead, lets call the token Invincible’s Hay Bail. One of the quartermasters in ICC can sell you invincible for 50 tokens. So if you farm LK 25H for 50 resets and don’t get the mount, you will have enough tokens to buy the mount.
I would think 50 tokens for a raid boss mount (specifically tied to the mount and drops from that raid boss) and 100 tokens for mounts from dungeons (on Heroic/Mythic difficulty) would be a fair thing to have to fight against bad RNG and make it so when you get the mount OR enough tokens you feel rewarded.
Furthermore these tokens can also be exchanged for a piece of transmogable gear from any of the bosses in that raid/dungeons loot table so if the player gets invincible on run 45 they can still spend the tokens for any transmog gear they don’t have.
“Most” everyone who cares about mounts wants this or that mount because it’s really rare.
Make it more common, it won’t mean a thing anymore. It will be “Just another mount”.
My vote is to keep rare stuff rare.

Exactly! this is a perfect example of a temper tantrum PEROID. Back in 2010 i had somewhere around 30-40 toons that i did it on. never got the mount. next year i prepared and added 2 more accounts and 40-50 more toons. didnt get it again. the next year i got another account and another 20-30 toons on top of my 80+ toons. guess what didnt get it again. so i made another account the following year for 6 accounts total and over 170+ toons and guess what lol didnt get it again. didnt see me on the forums crying pissing moaning and whining. i waited until the following 1-2 years and guess what i finally got it.
BLIZZARD LEAVE THE MOUNT ALONE! Add it to the vendor with a dull look or a recolor. If they want it the dungeon one let them continue trying because once they get it they wont care regardless. they just like whining. maybe if you add it to the vendor it will come with a mandatory title that cannot be removed “NAME” the Whiner
EDIT!!! OK WAIT A MINUTE WAIT A MINUTE. i just made a level 10 allied character and logged in and i was able to que up for the holiday boss omfg. you people that are whining about this mount better get out of here before i start swearing on you. all you need to do is make unlimited level 10s and que up O M G. what i and countless others had to go through to get this mount leveling toon after toon and all you got to do now is just make a toon log in and done. blizzard cannot dare increase the drop rate. this is insanity, now i know you whiners are crazy and just want it gifted to your mail box. get out of here right now please!!!
