Real question: what are you going to do with it if you get it? Longingly look at your collections tab? Pretend that your dragon is actually a love rocket with some scales wrapped around it?
I’d probably mount up on it and then queue for a bunch more of the holiday dungeon. Just ride around the boss room on it…

Set up an alter with
and the mount in the bars, also add the mount to my favorites so it can show up at any time, I’ve all the mounts as favorites, so there’s always something different.
Well, I already did some thread about the 4 dragon riding models being an issue, maybe later Blizzard will enable normal flying or add the dragon riding mechanic to the old mounts.

The new upgrade system has a follow up from you but the cosmetic rewards didn’t have any input this year…Thanks for considering collectors…

It was a failure the entirety of Love Rocket, so if you have faith that it’s different this time then hold onto that faith dearly. More power to you.
Lets filter any reward system by the logic presented by Chimes.
You should consider if the amount of attempts for any reward, the time between attempts, the ratio of acquisition of the reward are providing a FUN experience to your target audiance, as mentioned by Chimes, you can talk about the best optimal option… Realm hop, LFG, armies of alts…etc, If that doesn’t provide good gameplay, then you’re failing to deliver a great experience…that’s why we got some kind of fix for holidays, however; I still think there’s room for improvement regarding that RNG, since some players now use multiple accounts for more boost attempts because RNG is still an issue for a limited time content.
Even if the content isn’t limited time like those druid forms, it could be like Soundless or a lot of other rare cosmetics which are AFK lobbies in the game, that doesn’t provide actual fun gameplay. Also, how these rewards could work in future expansion when tools like LFG and realm hopping are more difficult.
This is why I don’t chase low drop rates.
Either it drops or it doesn’t.
Is this being fixed for 2024? Nobody was happy with the changes last year, please don’t tel us the event is even longer this year because as you already said it’s a horrible experience for alts
