The last mythic 4 boss in the raid are just addon bosses

Specifically weakauras MRT etc etc.

I think they should really disable addons in raids or any instance places.

I mean Ovi’nax is bad for this, but Ky’veza might be the least addon dependent fight we’ve seen in several expansions…

OP clearly only looked at Ovinax and assumed it applies to all 4 bosses.

OP is also mistakenly assuming Ovinax is designed around addons, when the dev just goofed hard.

kyvesa is addon dependent. (weakaura specifically).

This boss isn’t the only thing. Ovinax court, princess and queen needs addons in mythic difficulty to be killable.

In what way?

go open up liquid weakaura pack for mythic raid.

Couldn’t tell you what it does, since I killed that boss without using it.

I’ll bet you couldn’t even point to a single mechanic requiring weakauras for the 4 bosses aside from Ovinax eggs without researching it.

weakaura to pop on queen

weakaura to dispel on court. Etc etc

Alright I’ll give you credit where it’s due, but you’re only half right.

The only WA you might really need on queen is for portals. The pops are easy on their own.

OP seems to be trolling as they can’t explain how specific bosses are trivial with WAs/Add-Ons (and impossible without) so probably hasn’t even used them in mythic raid).

If Blizzard designed encounters that provided appropriate cues with a reasonable time buffer before insta-death, there wouldn’t be an arms race between the game devs and the Add-On devs. Ion’s said he wants to address both (better native cues and “clawing back” some API calls, since they won’t be necessary with better in-game cues).

those were just examples. hence why i said etc etc.

But If everybody had their addons disabled wouldn’t the final result still be the same ?

There is no “etc etc”.

What WA would you use for the pops on Queen? One that just shows the debuff icon, but bigger?

Yes, thats the truth of it. Youre going to have the usual 4 trolls try to argue otherwise, though.

One that automatically tells you who has it and whos turn it is to pop, as well as who actually popped it. Seen the weakaura already. Its used to figure out who messed up in heroic.

If addons were blocked they could design content to be within the reaction speed of humans and not the addons.
See- last 4 mythic pre-nerf, heroic queen pre-nerf week 1.

In fact, they are planning to do so in either season 2 or the next expansion, even if it means banning/suspending people who try to get around it

Obvious in game, addon knowing who has that should only be relevant for visually impaired players.

If the in game addon doesn’t, then it’s someone calling it out over VC from a spreadsheet on a 2nd monitor.

Again, obvious in game, don’t need an addon to tell you who did that.

Yep, but the addons don’t lie, so noone can claim its wrong. Thats why it gets used in heroic.

Theres also one that lights up where you drop the stuff, but again, not needed unless you’re visually impaired or want to be able to know who messed up what.

However, in mythic, said weakaura is exttemely helpful for positioning thanks to the massive aoe pulses compared to the previous difficulties.
