Is the free loot easymode M+ gravy train that invalidates all other forms of gearing except for mythic raid finally over?
Hooray! Now only people who truly enjoy timed dungeons will run it, and everyone else who were only defending it because of the easy loot can stop and look elsewhere.
And yet, here you are complaining about the change still. Either you adapt, or find something else to do in game, or quit. Complaining about it isn’t going to change anything.
Fact is, Blizzard was really motivated to make this change for a reason, they don’t make huge changes like this without giving it serious thought.
I just think they didn’t really convey their true motivations here for this change, was to slow down loot acquisition, or make it harder to get gear out of M+.
The old system was just way too easy for how rewarding it was. That is why so many casuals loved it, they were getting showered in decent gear for basically tackling content that didn’t really have any sort of challenge.
This comment nails why they changed it. Blizzard has been tinkering with M+ ever since in Legion, M+ geared players completely obliterated the first raid tier.
It’s like talking to walls and people is so obtuse that they have to cope so damn much at this point that they blame delves.
When the DEVS did changes to make to this point. It’s hilarious. The dev’s are to blame for everything wrong right now going on with m+ and other things on the road as well…
I like timed dungeons. Blizzard just is missing the mark this season. I wouldn’t be surprised if they just ran out of time to really balance mythic+ since raiding comes first and even the raid isn’t balanced properly
You’re allowed to like timed dungeons. The problem with M+ has always been people that don’t like timed dungeons were indirectly forced to run them as it was the only easy way to get showered in high ilvl gear.
Yea i just wasnt sure if the overhaul just gave the option of a new bracket to replace the old if supplemented by gearing via delves first.
If not then ya ya’ll got boned. But who knows blizz may expand key range again. Would be interesting if they did some type of feedback post when the mid season patch drops with their thoughts on the success of the new system but wont hold my breath.
Blizzard absolutely knew that there would be a segment of players that would be upset with this change. Heck, they can’t even change an icon in the game without a segment of players getting upset.
The old system was just too easy for the rewards it offered. Blizzard was in a no win situation here, they either had to nerf the loot from M+, or make the entire system harder.
M+ was cannibalizing the rest of the endgame, so many players had just become low M+ key farmers.
Overall, I like the changes to the system. The only thing I didn’t like was that it resulted in M+ being delayed a week upon the season starting.
The old 2-10 range was just pointless. The change was also to help people realize they can do better if they just step outside their comfort zone. Keys are not hard, they just require knowing more mechanics in dungeons besides just bosses.
I think this game would be better off if more players tried to step outside their comfort zone and push themselves to succeed at higher levels. It’s very satisfying to achieve growth in your own skills.
