Its easy to think that cause of how the kelfin models in game are right now. They are lacking polish and its easy for them to come off as a lazy reskin. However. I believe the potential of the race is very high if blizzard would put the right effort into the model. Most of the stuff I’ve posted doesn’t detach to far from non cannon although admittedly some of the druid forms are abit far fetched since they are hybrid like. I hope someday they become playable.
This i would love, reminds me of the thread made by the person who did the
san layan or however you spell their name thread.
I love those Sanlayn concepts Fallyn had made for the thread. It really shows how cool sanlayn could be. There is a lot of passion in that thread.
I’m hoping support for playable Gilblins/Kelfin continues to be strong next year and onward. I’m still of the opinion that it’s important to keep showing support of some kind. The worse thing that could happen is for the Unshackled to be forgotten.
Hopefully we’ll see the Unshackled help out either during Shadowlands or in the near future. It should mean something for some of them to be on the shores of Durotar, and hopefully something will come out of it soon (preferably Kelfin on the Horde side of the character creation screen).
I’m with y’all all the way, and will continue to offer support as best as I can. The journey can be hard, but I still keep hope that we’ll see the Unshackled come back into the story soon.
Please have fun, happy, and safe New Year, and I’ll see y’all in 2021!
Thank you Bagzak! I am still working on content and ideas to post here. Your words of kindness are an inspiration to us all. I should have the male gilgoblin model ready sometime soon.
Accidently got the cursor in the photo, but ts fine. I think this is a good example of how they might look if they were playable. I think he looks wonderful with the spear too.
For this one I tried to make the face look somewhat unique. One of the things about the HD goblin models is that most of the face looks pretty old. I don’t know if blizzard would make them young like this if they were to be playable, but who knows? I think this is a good depiction though.
Yes. its funny how one of the things I miss most about the old goblin models is how their they used to have sort of a crooked demented looking face, but I wish we had options tohave our goblins look young. All of the facial options they have look old.
My head cannon is that this takes place someplace in the great sea, but not Vashjir. I thought this would be a nice scene to really convey the fantasy of the race. Their names are Irena and Mako Seabreeze. This is them resting after hunting for food.
My thoughts exactly. They would not be as unpopular as an allied race as some naysayers would have you believe. I will be making more neat scenes like these and having them posted here over time. Ya know what I think might be neat? Vim Brineheart riding a Shark.
There are several races I hope become playable, though I also hope the max amount of character slots per account also gets added. New races are the most exciting feature for a MMORPG for me, and creating characters is my favorite part of it. I still have a few slots reserved for if a few particular races become lucky enough to be playable someday (Saurok and Ogres mainly).
I was thinking about classes for the Kelfin and figured that Death Knights would be a given. They would fit just fine in the story if they put them in the second Death Knight starting area also. It does make me hope that future races will be able to become Death Knights, as a Saurok Unholy Death Knight is one of the potential characters I want to make.
Part of me was thinking if Kelfin became playable, I may reroll my male Goblin Blood Death Knight into a male Kelfin Blood Death Knight. Free character slots are getting low for me, but it could be interesting to design one. Not to mention the glowing eyes would work.
It would also let me consider making a female Kelfin, though a lot would depend on what classes would be available. If they could be Druids, a Feral Druid would be interesting. I also still want a Horde Survival Hunter, since Hunters are my favorite class.
I’m hoping we get back to Azeroth ASAP. I want to see what the Unshackled are up to as they hang around the beaches of Durotar.
We’ve been in desperate need of some aquatic races, and while I’ve been wanting naga and jinyu, these guys would be perfect for the Horde. (…and I’d totally alt one.)
We do not need kelfin! WE NEED WAVEBLADE ANKONAN! they look SO much cooler, better than just goblin reskins. Literal fish, screw goblins im with the ankonan GANG for life
Tomatoa in my opinion was probably the most exciting part of the whole movie. Epic villain, with an interesting backstory. Basically he was once a human, but turned himself into a crab and then decided to not risk using the hook again for the possibility in may put him into a worse situation then he gradually fought his way through life till he was basically at the top of the food chain.
Those edits are gorgeous.

Thank you and Yea. Jinyu can also make excellent use of bioluminescence. Kinda surprised they didn’t have them show up at stormwind and we’ve already had two expansions where they aided us.

Debatable. Everyone has their preferences. However I don’t see why having kelfin would exclude ankoan. Ankoan would be alliance. Plus I think this race should have been the goblin AR to begin with. They are different enough from goblins and offer things that goblins don’t offer enough to not be considered on par with highmountain and lightforged draenei.
