They are just Goblins with different customizations.

Simply by being aquatic Kelfin are not just goblins.

Not only that but they don’t have even near the same culture.

I mean do we really want another Tauren/Highmountain? Look at those two, you can count the differences on the fingers of one hand. Ugh. They should have just added Highmountain customizations to Tauren and called it a day.

IF they decide to add them as a separate race then they need a LOT of physical differences, like when they get in water they turn into a MerGoblin or something. Just the fins isn’t enough to differentiate them.

Or they can have them just be Gilgoblins. Claiming that they are the same as Tauren/HMT or Draenei/LFD is ridiculous.

Kelfin should be done correctly.

Reading through your other posts I get the impression you more or less would want them as we would. Done well and done right.

this is what we should have gotten instead of vulpera.

While I like Vulpera and I am happy they are playable, Kelfin would have made my day. They have so much going for them and if I’m being honest, I think they’d have gotten others to receive mechagnomes better. (I love my mechagnomes don’t get me wrong.)

I disagree with most of your points tbh but in the end we DO want the same thing, Kelfin, and done right. Like I said earlier, I already have a name reserved! If they make them playable I’ll be creating mine that very day it goes live.

Heres some work Gnomest said I could post that they’ve done on Gilgoblin feets! Its a big improvement from the old models look.

You can see Gnomest’s work really shows how much bringing the model more in line with todays Player Character models can make a big difference and really make our Kelfin friends shine!

Yep. Those feet are pretty much on par with the HD goblin model now. I am going to continue polishing everything before I start adding custom more custom animations and use it as a basis for other stuff. I am going to improve the fins and add some gills next. Because one thing I forgot to add to that model was the gills. They aren’t called gilgoblins for no reason.

I am also open to suggestions for changes to more of these models. I am feeling confident enough to actually start taking a shot at doing full creature models from scratch sometime. This could come in use for doing stuff like gilblin druid forms and stuff. Before I start that though. Want to finish all the stuff here.

I have some fin styles that are shark like. I need to look for the pictures. Will post in a bit. Though for the ones on the back, I usually save those for special transformations. For the gilblin base model I try to stay close to cannon so that it could be something plausible for gilgoblins.

Gilgoblin ears are very gill like. However I am not sure if they actually are gills.

Lots more to come. I am trying to bring the gilblin cata model pretty much up to goblin HD quality. Some say I should just use the HD goblin model as a base, but that would be depriving myself of valuable learning experiences.

I came into this thread thinking “No way,” but now I can see myself being on board. Your concept is really cool, like a raver version of a goblin.

But your druid form ideas are far too humanoid. The whole point of druids’ animal forms is to be animals.

Cat form would be better off being a snapdragon:
