I had this theory since the very announcement of the expansion now, but the last disc weekly quest chapter made me think that it will happen even more.
As Archaedas in the new archive entry suggest, the influence of Azeroth seems to not be limited to the Earthen, but possibly to the Keepers too, and to me, this will play out in The Last Titan.
I am sure that, during the expansion, we will have 2 factions of keepers who will face each others, one that will support the titans and their purpose and edicts, and thoses who will stand for Azeroth.
I speculate that, in the titans team we will have :
Odyn, Hodir and Thorim possibly.
On Azeroth, we will get :
Freya, Tyr, Archaedas, possibly Mimiron.
Maybe we will get a resurrected Loken? Seeing how Tyr was able to return, i wiould say its possible.
I think we will also FINALLY team up with Helya to finally make Odyn pay for all he had done! Maybe even purify her?
On the titan team, possibly will have Eonar, Khaz’Goroth, and Agrammar teaming up agaisnt Aman’thul and the others who will follow the high father’s oroders!
Tyr was able to return because he was a Bruce Wayne tier doomsday prepper that left behind his consciousness and personality on a hard-drive along with crypt instructions.
Loken played all the other keepers like a fiddle and nearly took over the whole pantheon before he was stopped. It isn’t hard to imagine he could pull off a scheme like that too.
You don’t know any such thing; and in case you didn’t understand unreliable narrator…Jenny wasn’t running over to Forrest Gump’s house as a child because of her grandma’s dog either…
You’re supposed to be reading statements by Dagran and realizing he doesn’t know them to be true and they are not objective narrator.
Liangni, have you considered the possibility that Archaedas was mistaken about what Beledar is, because he didn’t have enough information? What the disc quests reveal is that Archaedas admits that Khaz’goroth admitted to him that they needed to build a coreway to reach the world soul and study it more. This directly means that the Titans did not know everything about the world soul inside the planet just from floating above it and using their senses. Next, Archaedas was not expecting the Beledar type fragments…that was not something that he sensed already nor that Khaz’goroth sensed already. It was new to them, even the Titans. Since we already knew from Vanilla WoW lorebooks that the Titans were surprised to find Old Gods, and that is why Aman’thul didn’t know the negative consequences of pulling one out until he tried; wouldn’t that also mean that the Titans may have also been surprised about the presence of Light cosmic force entities? Wouldn’t it be possible for them to mistake Beledar as something to do with the world soul when in reality the Beledar is from the Light cosmic force? And as I said in a separate topic, we know that the reason the Titans like Khaz’goroth made the Azeroth Titankeepers out of native material and the Earthen and Vrykul out of native material instead of the normal flesh ones they make on other worlds, was because the magical stone and metal could better resist hearing any voices that corrupt their minds. Metzen was careful to say that they would better resist, instead of become immune to them; because Metzen was already writing that some keepers eventually could be corrupted like Loken. So by that same logic, would you accept that when the Titankeepers of Azeroth were first made, they were resistant to hearing any voices from Light cosmic force also? So if Beledar is from the Light, as we all suspect, then Archaedas would barely hear them until a little bit over time. But a Thraegar being changed into crystal forms “would” hear voices from the Light very easily. If the Light wants access to the world soul, then they need that Core-chamber dismantled.
Regarding Odyn, he is not on the Titans’ team. He got kicked out by the other keepers long long ago. Odyn is doing things for Light cosmic force now, not the Titans. Also, Freya never came to help the Azeroth World Soul, not in Dragonflight, and not in War Within. If anything, we may find that the Haranir who don’t agree with Orweyna have been conspiring with Freya against the World Soul. Orweyna is being described as a rebel “against” those Haranir, as if either Beledar or the World Soul want her to do something opposite of what her Haranir people have been doing.
As for Helya, she is not ethical. She did villainous things all on her own and has no excuse for it. We should never follow her or team up with her.
Might not exactly be that scenario considering the trouble with hindsight for Sargeras-- an evil titan that ruled the legion and is obsessed with claiming world titans. So why did the Titans oppose Sargeras?
I really dislike this story trend and hope in the end it turns out the Titans and Keepers really are on our side. I want to fight alongside the Keepers, not against them.
But how much of that was Loken… or Yogg-saron. Remember, Yogg played Loken more than Loken played the other keepers.
The dude basically influenced (but not directly mind controlled) Loken to kill Sif, then blackmailed Loken to do his bidding.
She was also absent from Legion. Neither the Warrior order hall (all about reuniting Odyn with the Keepers of Ulduar), nor the Druid order hall (emerald dream and what not) had her involvement in any way.
So we have two possible scenarios. Either Blizzard forgot she existed (more likely) or Blizzard intentionally kept her absent from Legion but that storyline was cut (equally as likely).
I wouldn’t say I want them to be good, necessarily, but I’ll be disappointed if Aman’Thul and/or Norgannon are straight up evil, nefarious. I’m okay if they run with Lawful Neutral to the extreme, basically. If there’s some mustache twirling, I’ll consider it a disservice.
I dont really why you would compare both of them, knowing that Sylvanas was not betrayed, compared to Helya who was completly betrayed by her own “father” so not really the same story here, Helya was damned to be a monster by thoses she loved, sylvanas was damned by her ennemy.
So to me, Helya is lot more legitimate to hold such a grudge to Odyn, and also wellll Odyn here is like the mythos Odyn which is : alpha male mainly man who is a complete misogyn.
I think they would because Odyn will and always was in disagreement with Tyr, just look at how both viewed the dragons. This disagreement was exactly what made Odyn leave Ulduar.
Why would we work with them? And, not all titans are pure evil, its mainly aimed at Aman’thul.
Not really no, what Dagran tells you is that “old lore (chronnicles 1) get rectonned now so hey player stop thinking chronnicles v1 is right and listen to this new lore”
There is difference between unrealiabe narrator and the devs telling you the story, because its what Dagran is : not a character, but a dev telling you stuff.
No because, what would be the point of telling you this then? I mean, in a story building pov, why would scenario put these informations at that moment if they are mistaken/unrelaible?
1 - its not how a story work
2 - devs never did that and never had the writing lvl to do that either.
No need to think too high about what the archives says, as always, it is meant to be a narrator because its a backdoor, they dont make it a narrator because they have some larger plan in mind with their story, they make it narrator because they can retcon more easily in the future if they need to add more info and just say “old infos was not reliable because narrator”
Warhammer does this, and never people said “ho but its because they mistaken!!!” no its because its safer to retcon.
As for what i say, actually, you are kind of off topic, because i dont even mention anything about what Archaedas affirms, what i mean by that, is that, yes Archaedas says a lot of information in these archives records, but i took ONLY one information out of it for my thread : the fact he QUESTION why he puts the record themselves, that he IMPLY that the world soul influence is MAYBE not limited only to the Earthen.
That being said, that sentance is reliable becausse, its not an affirmation, its a speculation Archaedas makes himself, thus i speculate on what it could mean for the future.
You will fight alongside them and agaisnt them, and well, you dont like the trend of having NUANCING? hum, you prefer black and white stories? ok…
She is mentioned in TWW but i mean, i dont see in what way this is a problem? I mean, she still here, she did a lot in the past with the Dream and all.
I dont think Blizz forgot about her because she play a part in stories related to some Artefacts weapons, so they could not have forgot her and in same time wrote her name in the entires, so i would say, either they had no idea what to do with her in Legion, or they were silly, or the arc was cut.
