The "just go play era" argument

Ah, I see you’ve surveyed every single player in the expansion and got their opinions on it. My mistake, I underestimated your commitment.

In classic Era? In wotlk it’s pretty much non existent due to flying, and nothing to really fight over.

I hate flying, for the game. You miss out on so much detail the world has to offer from 10,000 feet

I left for retail, and so did about 30% of the pre dragonflight population. I would imagine over half of the ones who stuck it out are in raid/log mode.

That said, this is the game the classic Andys wanted, and they got their way. Have fun doing nothing.

Yup, the milestones OP listed were for the Classic Era realms.Flying certainly is terrible and just one of the reasons I never cloned my toons into the progression realms.

100% Accurate.

Classic had 1 million concurrent players through AQ40 (US/EU).

With WOTLK the " BEST XPAC EVER! " the game has dropped down over half that.

How is this a good xpac if you lost over half your player base ROFL.

yup now go away little troll. you’ve been voted off the island.

yeah but on the other hand era servers are the best servers to ever exist to grind naxx long term

Seems weird to me.

Couple months of Naxx and I’m ready to go back to F R E S H and try something new.

Not really population has pretty much been steadily declining since vanilla classic launch.

BWL had less than launch, AQ had less than BWL, Naxx had less than AQ, TBC had less than vanilla launch and so forth.

That’s entirely what you would expect from a rerelease since the population will be almost entirely front loaded with few new players joining.

fresh is only fun for leveling in my opinion

How’s Classic Era’s pop?

Check this out, its the only aggregated data website I can find.

Wrath is Healthier than TBC, but a much smaller launch. Figures are good but are on a rapid decline.

Not trolling, what are you getting sensitive about?

Well after linking the realms it’s sparsely populated :stuck_out_tongue:

Is this just US figures?

Anyone who did a scan and uploaded their data is presented there, so I think EU is included but I’ve never looked for EU.

I don’t understand. I thought the game was so much better back then without the Wrath conveniences. Shouldn’t it be thriving?

You’d think wouldn’t you? And with blizzard stellar development team the changes in SoM should have been an epic hit too.

Wrath was the first WoW expansion to be heavily marketed after blizzard was acquired and taken public. (night elf mowhawk kek)

High sales figures does not correlate with the quality of the game. In the eyes of most Classic Boomers, wrath is the worst of the 3 classic experiences (and the beginning of many retail mechanics).
