Per an interview with The Starting Zone Interview, it was revealed that the Jailer is turning his attention from Bastion to Ardenweald. I’m guessing the Heart of the Forest is coming under attack sooner than expected.
And in thinking about it some more, I could see the Heart getting damaged/nearly destroyed and then Tyrande siphoning the Night Warrior’s power into the Heart to heal/restore it. Thus fulfilling Ysera’s dreams of Tyrande saving Ardenweald and allowing Tyrande to personally give the biggest middle finger to Sylvanas and the Jailer.
If they dare to touch my Winter Queen and Night Elf souls we’ll have a massive problem.
Also to your theory, I think it would be pretty boring if Tyrande just used her Night Warrior powers to fuel the heart. I think it would be more exciting for her to empower the people of Ardenweald and then we defend it in an epic raid or something like this.
Nah, this is Blizzard we’re talking about. They don’t mind alienating and driving people away from the franchise - and they certainly don’t mind abusing Night Elf related/adjacent things for shock value.
I see super-long-range nuclear catapults in the Ardenweald’s future. Possibly paired with an opportunity for me to finally play “Oh! What a Circus!” in relation to Tyrande.
Actually they kind of do. They simply don’t consider the half dozen main line complainers in this forum to be a significant number. And they’re still here.
Eh, I wouldn’t take the current makeup of the SF as an indication that people will always be here. It’s very different from the makeup that I’ve seen in the past, and I keep in touch with a fair number of the people who were here before and am aware of why they left. Story otherwise has increasingly been a point of criticism here, in other subforums, and on social media generally - bearing in mind that the percentage of the population that actually leaves feedback remains small.
Most people just quit without saying anything. Unless again my marketing class from years ago was just spewing lies.
Edit: An important point of context. Blizzard’s last-reported figure for Monthly Active users is 30 million (across all of their franchises), marking the lowest point they’ve been at since they started reporting the statistic.
