The Jailer is... (spoilers)

Banished forgotten/hidden titan is exactly the trope i would expect.

Meh if that was true, Brann would have discovered it long time ago.

No one ever said that the Pantheon were the only titans that existed, and its not like we dont have other forgotten/hidden titans cough azeroth, argus cough

I don’t really like that we’re diving back into the cosmic stuff. It ruined the mystique and magic of the titans by making them more than a mystery. It all feels like a mess now.

Hehe.

I just love this movie.

That is an interesting thought. I wonder if you could be on to something with that one.

Thanks, thats the one that i’m sticking with. Its very Blizzardy, 2 lovers forever separated by a veil that keeps them in different realities by their evil kids that want to have a soul machine to power up their titanforged constructs in their reoriginated planets where they can experiment with life as they see fit. Dad in the afterlife, awakened and pissed and in the worst possible place within it (the maw), mommy in our reality, chained to a planet and kept asleep and whose nightmares (old gods) keep generating corpses to generate anima to power their soul machine.

He definitely screams ‘hades’ of the titan pantheon…

I heard somewhere that Shadowlands is going to change everything for us in terms of our understanding of the WoW lore. Can anyone confirm this? A part of me is really am hoping that this guy is less a Titan and more “Uranus” (the Titans progenitor) with Elune playing the role of “Gaia”.

Though Aman’thul better not ever get his hands on Argus’ scythe if he is. Because… reasons.

I’d be more inclined to believe hes actually chronos from greek mythology.

Q: After the Maghar orcs scenario, what happened to that alternate Draenor? What’s up with the lightbound?
A: That Draenor is still out there ,the light still has a presence on it. Those things, we keep in the back pocket, and if something really fits that’s something we can grab to look at under a new set of circumstances. Right now it’s life and death but light and void is very interesting to explore. This is just the first step on exploring the cosmology. Chronicle is written from a specific point of view (titans) but it is canon - more stuff did happen behind the scenes though, and you’ll find some explained in Shadowlands.

Elune is supposed to be the Left Eye of the Earthmother with Anshe being the Right Eye.

The Earthmother is Gaia not Elune.

More like Zeus. The Titans were called powerful Demigods or God-like beings.

The Old Gods presumably are the rivals of the Full Gods with the Void Lords as rivals to the Earthmother and her Primordials.

How weak can Full Gods get? Harbaron(who appears to be a Full God or at least a Kyrian from his similarity to the Jailer) shows how weak they can be.

I agree. While I do like the idea of an xpac in the afterlife, on a whole I personally feel we’ve had too much of the cosmology fleshed out at once. Personally I find those type of things more fun to piece together over time, one little hint and mystery at a time.

It also has made some things fairly bland. Its seems now if any one uses shadow stuff they’re automatically linked to the void or if it’s holy it’s automatically linked to naruu/light. Before you could have shadow from necromancy, void magic, voodoo, etc. and for holy/light magic the naruu, the holy light, sunwell, and elune were all seperate sources to draw upon. Now everything gets thrown into giant, broad categories and (at least to me) it makes the world actually seem smaller and less flavorful.

Spoiler alert:

I have a reliable source directly from blizz hq that is the janitor there. He has a cousin who has a son who owns a dog that lives next door to the ceo of blizz is confirming that the jailer is Danny Devito.

Is a terrible review and more about whining how this guy has drama with Pyromancer. Personally I do not care, do you?

Just go to Icyviens.

Hey guys, the op had a really interesting plot twist idea that would lead into another interesting expansion. There is no way it’s happening though because blizzard can’t write a story that well.

Thanks for the compliment, and i will stick to my overall plot idea regardless because its one of the few ways they can go about this one without writing themselves into a corner without any chance of following thru with the story. Plus it works with other theories like elune being the arbiter, Calia being an avatar of the titans and part of the 10.0 plot ( titanforged 2.0 with undying undecaying flesh instead of stone/metal and a way so the pantheon can repurpose souls without the need for shadowlands). Plus it gives them a chance to have Sargeras and Illidan come back and work together against the pantheon ( if in right and we’re being lied to about him, he and illidan are cut from the same cloth, hows that for a plot twist)

The Jailer is special officer Doofy.
