If you are under 30 then DM is Deadmines. If you are over 30 then DM is Dire Maul. If you are looking for a group for VC then you need to be looking at an adult website.

No, it was DM and will always be DM. People weren’t stupid enough to think a level 15 was looking to run Dire Maul.

I only heard the VC abbreviation after the Cataclysm revamp.

Wrong its DM=dead mines. Go back to launch and remember Dire Maul was added much later.

When I played vanilla Deadmines was DM because Dire Maul didn’t even exist yet

I didn’t start seeing people refer to Deadmines as VC until after Dire Maul was added. This makes perfect sense because why else would Deadmines be the only dungeon in the game that is abbreviated by its’ last boss?

Dire maul isn’t even out on release and very rarely do people do an entire dire maul full clear, you always specify north, east, west. So you’d say “lfm dm:n” or something and people would know you mean dire maul not deadmines.

Cookies are always the end boss. once you can defeat cookie then you can lose weight if you want to. Once you eat cookie then you are happy and satisfied.

Nobody says “LFM DM” to refer to Dire Maul, just like nobody says “LFM BRS” to refer to Blackrock Spire. You either do UBRS or LBRS.
DM is Deadmines.
DM:N/E/W/T is Dire Maul.

Simple as that.

Why is it such a big deal on who call it what? If you know what you’re doing in the dungeon then who cares. I have been on servers that call it DM and other servers that called it VC. If you know what they are talking about and need to run it, then run it no matter what they call it
