The Imbalance Woes Intensifies Over Transfers

When does imbalance even matter now that cross server BGs are live?

The time it would have mattered was during phase 1. Now it’s about queue times.

Must’ve forgot about WPvP and Ahn Qiraj.

You cannot put caps or queues onto a specific faction is that would be punishment for players wanting to play instead of incentive’s to play the other faction. key rules for making people happy is to not pushing people for a populous problem. Why would i be 1 persons fault for random Billy wanting to play a skeleton? I do not have an answer for the issue this is what Blizzard needs to figure out but I doubt they will put in negatives instead of making positives. This is key for how they have done things in the past and got the numbers they have had in the past and present.

They should have to avoid imbalance issues as well as opening transfers for those dealing with queues to servers that were light on that faction. Rather than opening the gates wide and just hoping people work it out themselves.

It’s not that there isn’t a solution or that any solution will make everyone happy, it’s that if Blizzard put the extra step to moderate this process it would be less of an issue than it is now. (again, can’t make everyone happy)

We’ve been in here talking about faction specific queues and faction locked server transfers since the first two weeks.

I’m on here often (work is slow at times) and never have I seen the ‘concern’ until BG’s came out.

Then you weren’t paying attention.

Discussion about the imbalance has been going on since pretty early. It peaked a couple weeks into phase 2. IDK where you were when there were consistently multiple threads about server imbalance on the front page.

“Uh oh, he pays attention, better tell him he doesn’t pay attention to prove otherwise.”

Yes, about Alliance having issues about it. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, the Horde expect something to be done about it now. How ironic.

Did you read what I said? so your solution is just to cut off a bunch of players from playing? sounds reasonable. I guess that is why your game hasnt lasted 15 years strong and have a remake that brought millions of players back to a 15 year old version of a game where you pay $15 a month lol.

You look to punish players where Blizzard will look for the opposite and incentive and push players to do the opposite. Punishing someone for nothing they have control over isnt going to help and would have a much larger detriment to the game.

I mean… you evidently don’t pay attention.

Excuse you. Do I look like an alliance to you?

We’ve been here talking about this stuff since way back.

Others on both sides have argued for similar stuff, but I don’t track anyone else’s activity.

They just play the victim card so well.

Why is this a response to when people reiterate vs your statement. Does that mean you should suddenly have changed my mind to where I now agree with you? Of course I read your post, and yes while it may be a shocker to you, I didn’t agree with it! Man it’s strange how conversations work.

To funnel them toward servers that need more of their faction, yes.

Are you playing in an alternate universe or another game… because if so…

Players are already being punished, but your suffering is greater than others suffering so long as we’re getting that straight.

Then you are a great ray of hope beaming through the abysmal faction that is Horde. I hope you gain traction.

horde had there hayday and now this really only negatively impacts them as the servers that were imbalanced become PVE servers and the servers that are balance are gong to become ally dominated.

karma?

hopefully they will merge servers and offer a free month of something to those who paid and then got migrated.

How is that even possible when practically every imbalanced pvp server is horde heavy?

It isnt.

loled. guess no changing people who dont want to change and learn better ways to do things. Maybe banging head into wall doesnt fix everything for u but what does one of the biggest gaming companies in the world know about supporting their games amirite

Blizzard would be better off implementing CRZ. Get the issue sorted from the start, become scalable, and only have to combine realms once the AH is stagnant.

People hate CRZ but it does the job of dealing with imbalances. People also hate mergers (which Blizzard has never done) and they hate combined realms.

Doesn’t matter what Blizzard does. People will hit the forums and tell everyone how it’s killing Classic. Might as well use what will actually do the job.

All I am saying is that the bigger issue is here to sort out and if they had done some preventative measures before hand, we wouldn’t have to even talk about doing extreme adjustments like caps and transfers.

that was my thought putting in a merger like they did on retail years ago. Since Classic doesnt have achievements or anything that would be game-breaking this could be a possibility. I will wait to see what they do as they usually do whats best ( even if it makes a few mad) cannot make everyone happy.

hindsight is 20/20. Blizzard didnt have a giant dev team for Classic. and they wanted to make it as close to the original as possible. The main issue I see is the lack of servers forcing huge servers Vanilla wasnt built for. This could be due to the restrictions they had from the agreement on creating classic. This looks to be more a passion project than a hearthstone money making machine. We could all go look at classic launch and Retail expansion and criticize but that doesnt help what is currently the issue or where to go from here.

Now you’re being deliberately obtuse.
