It shouldn’t be necessary to have to tell a billion dollar corporation that you can’t cram 5X the players on a server and let bots do their thing for weeks on end and NOT adjust herb spawns.
Terocone has all but disappeared and mana thistle is camped 24/7. You don’t make changes like rolling out mega servers and not take into account how those changes will affect the game.
It’s crazy that anyone should even have to point this out.

It might be a population thing, but I suspect it’s also behavioral. People seem to be way more aggressive about farming everything these days.

It doesn’t help that
- Terocone is used in almost every desirable alchemy recipe, in multiples.
- It’s one of the only herbs that spawns exclusively in a 2/3rds of a zone. I think Flamecap might be the only other one, and that’s not nearly as useful.
I would definitely like to see a drastic increase in all gatherable spawns. Drop those raw material profits into the dirt where they belong.

So its the player’s fault that blizzard made mega servers and sent 10k ppl in a world designed for about 3k?
cool

Terrrocone was always hard to get. Ibsuspect that’s intentional. Could be worse… Could be like black lotus!
As a blacksmith, I’m stuck on needing either lots of fellsteel or lots of primals and/or khorium Either way, it’s insane to farm and expensive to buy.
Khorium? Surely you mean adamantite? Nearly capped on BS+Engi, have barely had to touch Khorium. Feel you on the felsteel, though, that eternium drop rate is obscene.
Ragesteel and Thunder all take khorium, and kind of a lot.

I don’t need to, you gave an alternative explanation on why everything is overfarmed and its so obvious to the point of your answer being flatout ignorant… what does that even mean “behavioral”? Ofc it is. The game teaches you exactly that, if you see a node for your prof you go pick it.
There is no difference to how it was in 2007. Ppl see a node, they pick it. Even people in 2007 knew the good herbs and good nodes. The problem is that if you have 300% more ppl than the world was designed for, the resources get scarce.

Ah, I see. The DPS route.
A. Your logic is incredibly reductive
B. Yes, players are playing the game differently now, in almost every way

In fairness the servers are capped higher but I’m not sure how many servers are overloaded compared to what TBC had.
Definitely a few like herod or Mankrik. I’m sitting on a theoretical 1400 or so on Kirtonos according to ironforge so even if you double that we are doing fine for general competition.
Vanilla felt way worse to me for this kind of stuff.
By your logic players in 2007 were too dumb to farm the good herbs eagerly…
which kinda is:

They’re expensive skill-ups, but at least I won’t be sharding all of what I make.
That’s fine. But quadrupling the population and letting bots have free reign turns hard into impossible.
The respawn rates are a lot faster. I know because I’m out farming fairly regularly.
If you see a bot, report it. Blizzard bans them far more frequently than folks here will lead you to believe.
Min-maxers go nuts in absolutely everything. One of my former guildies had a bank toon filled with arcane crystals, and a couple holding onto dense stone and thorium. This behavior is way more common now than it was then.

Yes the ban is usually very quick , you even get a mail from blizzard saying thank you for your repport , we banned Mr X for botting. Most the time It take 1-2 days

I have gotten none so far, and I have had the pleasure to lvl side by side with my bot hunter friend and his pet pig from 42 to 58… back in ph4. Im pretty sure hes still out there, grinding one sprite dragon after another.

So farm the terocone in shadow moon valley in the dead bird camps. That’s where I get mine. I do loops for nightmare vine and pick the terocone there.
Go where the farmers aren’t. Mana thistle I believe that spawns in the north part of blades edge and the area where the ogrilla and other dailies will be.
