I still cant believe how Blizz tricked Alliance with KT and MG as “races”. Hell, they are not even customization options because they are that bad. Vulpera alone seems to be much more popular/better than all allied races Ally have gotten.
I mean will it really matter since you’ll be able to group up crossfaction in 9.2.5?
As long as we get more allied races I could really care less as to which faction they will belong.
It seemed fair that every race had a turn with an allied race.
Each race isn’t a 1/1 comparison with other same-faction allied races, however. Some races created a much more significant population imbalance than other allied races.
Vulpera were a landslide compared to mechagnomes. One is a brand new race (yes it uses the same skeleton as goblins, but that really doesn’t matter at all), one is… a gnome with some mechanical parts you could mistake for a mog.
Giving one faction a brand new race that people absolutely love, and giving the other a slightly different version of one of the least popular races was completely out of touch.
Big brain just says there are no AR preorder bonuses because why? We’re getting a new race/class combo and they will let us play that early(like 1 month early). We don’t need any more races really. Ogres, Tuskarr, Naga and that’s it. The game will have 24 different races by the time Dragonflight launches and each one has next to nothing in terms of customization options. The more races we ask for the less likely they add more customization to existing races of all kind on both sides.
I totally get the desire but I think the game is reaching its limit on different/new races now.
And I am aware of the encrypted stuff on the ptr, I still don’t think it’s going to be anything like an AR and I do think we’re setting ourselves up for disappointment in general here.
Is faction balance going to matter that much when we can all play together? You know Blizzard will cave to guilds.
It won’t affect us so much when that happens, but it has absolutely affected gameplay for the last couple of years, and that’s not good for the playerbase.
What gets me is of the least 5 played races in the game… 4 of them are Alliance Allied Races… and the 5th is gnomes. Really says all you need to know.
And I hear a lot about how supposedly cool Dark Iron Dwarfs - they’re the allied race that it’s cool to say is cool, it just doesn’t occur to anyone to actually play one, apparently. Not many really want to actually play a short, fat and hairy race.
I wouldn’t mind having a sun kitty in my collection of alts
For me at least, they are really cool.
However, as someone who doesn’t really have alts, you have to be cool enough to beat out the other races for the spot as my main. So being one of the top 5 best races doesn’t equate to being played.
I honestly don’t think we’ll be seeing any more “Allied” races for quite awhile.
Give the horde lepper gnomes as they are already allied with the forsaken.
Alliance can get something like ethereals or perhaps arrakoa.
This sounds actually very reasonable for the Mechagnome-accident
omg.
How many of these ‘Blizz hates Alliance players’ topics do we need?
What the actual… Is this true? Have we missed a couple episodes here? Interviews for what??
Well, no, not sure where you got that from but that one’s definitely the other way around.
My own personal preferences
I really like kul tirans. I dont like zandalari at all
Oh right ok that makes sense, tbh I don’t like Zandalari much, but their Druid forms are (in my eyes) hands down the best in the game, I’d play Zandalari to be a Druid. Like, the balance form is an actual Arakkoa. How cool is that?
I prefer the druid forms of the kul tirans thematically, but the zandalari druid forms are much more original.
