The honor fix is correct

Asmongold showed high res 60 BG screen captures from original TBC on his stream. I would link them but can’t.

They clearly show the honor fix Blizzard has done is correct.

Honor from images
Horde AB win (22 min) = 120 honor
Alliance AB win (28 min) = 100 honor
Alliance WSG win (37 min) = 241 honor
Alliance WSG win (13 min) = 241 honor
Alliance AB win (28 min) = 120 honor
Alliance WSG win (17 min) = 241 honor
Alliance WSG win (18 min) = 140 honor

And finally, his OWN PERSONAL screenshot that HE TOOK from 60 AV back in TBC:
Alliance AV win (18 min) = 310 honor

The fix is correct whether you like it or not.

Sir you are wrong
HK honor gain and diminishing returns were nerfed with the 10x hotfix
Please see detailed post at the top of the forum with all real data and math

100% correct ^

The honor per win might be correct…however I remember pretty damn clearly that I didn’t have this hard of a time getting the gear pieces…the problem could be the amount of honor they cost or the amount of honor per kills…Something is off here. Not sure what it is.

Great… except we aren’t IN tbc, we are in pre-patch. With 1/3 the amount of time before release.

Yes. Because this is a unique situation…maybe a unique answer would be the best choice…Not trying to replicate the old days when you’ve already thrown away the integrity of the game anyways. Fix this to the best of your ability. The people will love you for it. ty <3

IMO it’s never been about if it’s correct or not it’s about what feels right in 2021

Yeah the pre nerf honor might have been too much but we all know that currently it’s too little aswell

This might be the case, how ever we have been arguing the HK honor.

My potato friend one day you might catch up.

You have 1/3 duration of the original pre patch, is not fixed, and hks are giving private rank honor

Honor Per Kill without a doubt!

What do u mean with AV gives 310 honor btw? Right now it gives 56 honor

Anybody that tries to defend it taking hundreds of games to get gear didn’t actually play in the original TBC pre-patch.

Gearing was fast in the original TBC pre-patch. It wasn’t just that it had a longer duration. You can find old articles claiming it takes only 2 days of farming to get a HWL weapon, the piece that takes the longest to farm.

After the nerf I’ve seen winning teams get 310 or close to that.

You completed ignored the issue with every character being calculated as scout rank in your post, please edit and address.

Max honor u can get if u destroy all towers and kill galv or balinda is 266. So u mean a perfect AV win?

Just because it is accurate as to “how it was” does not mean it is how it should be. one had a 45 day pre patch, we have 13.

Taking us back to how we got points and gear back then is “accurate but not welcome” this is clearly a bug that should have stayed until the release of outland. It was a recorded and “known” issue for months in the PTR and Beta otherwise people would not have detailed guides with timeframes on how to farm R14 gear. But now that people are able to engage with it and one simple forum post was made they fix it. These are the kind of fixes that are not wanted by the community. This is accuracy for the sake of accuracy but unwelcome in a time of #somechanges

The HK honor appears to be incorrect.

Check this video. From the date it was uploaded and the fact that the warrior has rampage on his bars, we can know for sure that this was the real BC prepatch.

WoW PvP - YouTube

Starting around 2:30 we can see his combat log and the honor he is getting from HKs. Looks to be about 4-5 for most kills. But everyone is reporting that they’re only getting 1-2 honor per HK.

Edit: Previous numbers for HKs in the given video were wrong.

Another edit: at 1:20 he kills a rogue and gets 9 honor.

The amount of honor you get per HK depends on how much damage you do. The honor is shared. It varies from 1 to 5 and sometimes higher. I actually recall getting 14 for a kill in one of my BGs in AB on my rogue.

People are lying or don’t understand how the honor works.
