The high elf situation

Simple answer is because of mechanics they cant just limit Void elves to Shadow priests. However there is no reason to allow a nonLight Paladin

Good luck, I guess.
I can guarantee you this will never happen, though.

Beautiful.

Not all paladins are just “Warriors who use the Light”

Tauren are Sun paladins.
Zandalari are Loa Paladins.
Blood Elves “control” the Light as Paladins.

Humans, Dwarfs, and Dark Irons are “faith” paladins, or what we consider to be regular “paladins”.

If Void/High Elves can’t be regular paladins because they aren’t actually High Elves, then they can be Void Paladins.

You can’t because you are not Blizzard, it’s laughable you think you’re more important than you are.

You’re just anti-player request sweetheart.

???

If you think me using critical thinking skills equates to me having a sense of importance, you High Elf fans really are as delusional as people say you are.

They all use the Light, since all it takes for a Paladin to function is Faith. it doesnt matter what that faith is.

Critical thinking skills is not “pretending i work for Blizzard and know what they will do in the future”.

Sorry you disagree with in-game lore? :man_shrugging:

For some reason I pictured spongebobs voice when I read that haha

Please quote me where I say, verbatim, “I work for Blizzard.”

Says the person who thinks Void Elves can use Paladins? lmao

They use priests. lmao

Is lore really this hard, gosh i feel terrible for Blizzard story team, they get 0 understanding from their player base.

That was the intention lol I can’t post gifs, so emojis it is.

While for gameplay reasons, yes it’s the light, but in actual lore you are incorrect, that’s going off Blizzard…

I don’t want to add to any arguement but Paladins get their power from different deities other then the light.

That’s why theirs a huge arguement for Night Elf Paladins from Elune, a moon goddess, as Taurens get it from their sun…

Just letting you know the facts before you make assumptions, I do believe the only true Paladins that wield the light are human and dwarf… although dark iron is just weird, pop up from their mountains and bam, they wield the light.

I never knew that Priests were the exact same thing as Paladins.

Please, Mr. Lore Expert. Inform me with all of your limitless knowledge; how are they the exact same?

Which is why I said “it comes off faith, but still use the Light”.

Faith and light are different, yes it’s all faith based, but definetly not the light.

As I said for gameplay reasons it’s all easier to give the same spell effects and cosmetics, lore wise and everything else is a whole different thing.

Im not saying that they are all Light-based. I am saying the result of the faith and calling upon X deity is the Light (probably for gameplay reasons). Its simplifying it so gameplay is the primary.

They both use the Light, one of them puts on plate and uses swords and shields instead, was it not obvious that we were talking about power sources?

You think they can’t be paladins cause why? They shouldn’t be able to use the Light?

Okay, why can they be priests? Do they use “Shadow” instead of “Holy” to heal as Priests?

Okay. Why can’t the same be true for Void Elf Paladins?

Or better yet, have these customization options be the High Elves uniting with Void Elves and that’s an even easier Paladin explanation.

Because Shadow priests still exist. Thats the whole reason Forsaken can be priests.

Say it with me now people: more customization isn’t a bad thing.
I’m all for Blood Elves asking for more customization as well.

Weird, just got done talking to someone who told me they actually use the Light, even if it hurts them.

So Shadow paladins can exist, it’s all a power/faith based system, it works the same, they just use it differently.
