First of all, I’d like to thank Blizzard for listening to the huge quel’dorei fanbase, and acknowledge that many (like me) are very happy with the recent announcement!
However, there are still some loose ends that need to be adjusted, and I’d be very glad if some community manager could answer wether or not this will be available for high elven void elves
being able to become a paladin
-celtic runes / tatoos
-blood elven jewelry
-being addressed as a high elf
-being able to toggle off entropic embrace
But, at least you proved all of those “give them an inch and they’ll take a mile” people right when they said high elf fans would keep asking for more. So there’s that.
You didn’t. You got appearance options which will allow you to roleplay as if you’re a high elf. And now there’s pretty much a 0 chance that another separate high elf race will ever be added, since you can now look identical to one. Blizzard went the extra mile to make yall happy and most high elf fans wanted exactly this, so please sit down.
To be fair, we should take one person’s opinion to be exemplary of the whole.
But also to be fair, it’s not wrong for anyone to ask for more customization for their prefered race. This panda is not the first nor will be the last person asking for a specific customization or a class/race combo. People do it all the time.
I think it’d be fine for void elves to be able to toggle off their passive and have normal hair colors.
I agree that void elf paladins sounds dumb and the runes/shenanigans are unnecessary.
I don’t get why you should get upset over someone requesting something completely irrelevant to you though
I hate to be that guy, I really do but . . . I see no situation here. I’ve been in this “fight” since vanilla and honestly the only way I can see this getting even better then it already is is if they give us more un-voidy hair options (colors at first, styles later) then I can finally make an alliance elf that has more in common with me in real life what with the fair skin and blonde hair.
Fel as it stands I can already make my mage who kinda looks like a thalassian Dorian from Dragon Age Inquisition look even more like Dorian now =D
Wrong. We still need the opitions mentioned in the original post in order to compeltely roleplay as a high elf. Can we do it now? sure, but it would be full of immersion breaks. Also, please don’t commit a strawman fallacy. I didn’t ask for another race, what I said is that I recognize this isn’t the ideal circunstance for quel’dorei fans, however, blizzard can still make this great. And if they can do it with almost no effort, why not? It still amazes me how many people fight against others’ happiness.
