But you just said it does, letâs acknowledge it in the intro quest, then move right along. Are you also saying Blood elves donât matter, letâs remove them then, nice Broflake!
What more do you want?
Are youâŠnew to the internet?

âDid you forget that while you and your nobles lounged on their spires we defended the borders of Quelâthalas? We saved these forest from burning and lost almost everyone we loved, for what gratitude? So that you would join the ones that hurt us so? But please, now tell us how thatâs the same than a human racist commander failing to execute the blood elves. Itâs just the same than all our dead killed by the horde.â
It could go on forever!
You said it doesnât, I am working off your logic to demonstrate how it is flawed.
It being the internet does not condone you to speak to people in such a fashion.
Honestly this is how WotLK should have started.
Then you introduce the SC in 3.1 as a continuation of the story.
A lot of the story is really poorly done though.
I mean⊠itâs WoW so itâs not more cogent than your regular comic book continuity.
But yeah so much more could have been done with the HE/BE schism.
I said earlier too a BE / HE rivalry is far more interesting then the NE BE stuff theyâve portrayed over the years, and the VE feud feels hollow I would like to see the VE narrative be extremely friendly / coworker like, akin to something like the NB and BEs. It might even add nuance to the VE / BE feud for the VEs to be so chummy with HEs.
I said we donât need to acknowledge it anymore because itâs in the past, High Elves can join the Alliance off their merits in WoW alone, you said we need to cause reasons, I said sure we can if we need to and you donât like that idea either.
Are you angry? Or do you just not like High Elves?
Obviously donât answer that, everyone knows what youâre about Broflake.
In a loving yet ultimate very sarcastic way?
Iâm a monster, send me to Guantanamo.
Yep, I wasnât being at all sarcastic when I said I would be good with it. I donât know how they would create the split, but frankly if I thought Bliz had talent that could write its way out of a paper bag I probably wouldnât be opposed to Cezolâs idea of having the SC lose its mind, go after Khadgar, and then watch what happens.
As it is, we donât have that writing talentâŠbecause god forbid that job got handed to Golden who would try and spin it as some heroic moment for the Alliance.
I think part of it is that WoW grew too big, too quickly, and they ended up with a lot more moving parts than they tthought they would have originally.
I mean the thing with HE/BE is that the wounds are so fresh. With BE/NE itâs like 10k years of water under the bridge -and yet we still had Lorash being salty abt it heh- and with VE/BE is so under-explored, to the point we have barely seen them interact beyond Lorâthemar calling them traitors, and the VEâs being more interested in studying.
I do think VE and HE allying as one military force -especially since their leaders are sisters- would augment their story, even of VEâs are the only ones playable. It would lend them more backing in terms of the feud that exists, and it would make the HEâs not just a bunch of exiles with a grudge, but show that the VEâs are ultimately ânewâ people that disagree with the BE stateâs choices.
I said we donât need to acknowledge it anymore because itâs in the past,
If its in the past, then it doesnât matter. That would have to apply to the SC if you wished not to be contradictory. Youâre looking at it in a biased way and not holding the standard throughout.
Are you angry?
Why would I be upset? Its a game. Not life.
Or do you just not like High Elves?
I am playing oneâŠsoâŠ
Obviously donât answer that, everyone knows what youâre about Broflake.
Yeah, not having a horde race go alliance because you donât like the color of void elves.
In a loving yet ultimate very sarcastic way?
Youâre kinda being gross dude. I wonât address this further since youâre willfully ignorant.
Remember that NPC that said Dark Trolls are all wiped out only for them to be future troll customization in the next expansion?
Actually the npc just said her tribe was wiped out. Not all dark trolls.
You never heard of da Shadowtooth Clan? No surprise, da tribe be wiped out by da Twilightâs Hammer.
Da Zandalari be keepinâ one representative as a memento of da past. Now I be nothinâ more than a curiosity.
It not so bad. I never have ta buy any oâ me own drinks.
Iâm cool with this tbh, Iâm tired of Dalaranâs flip flopping. But having the Dalaran pop split would be really interesting. Maybe the SC gets the crater in Hillsbrad as part of the settlement.
They get their own floating chunk. It will have trees and a lodge.
I still think the Horde/Alliance areas should have been their own floating neighbor islands.
Honestly they should just have two lead writers.
one for horde, one for alliance, then have them brainstorm how to push the ideas effectively.
As it stands, though, hindsight is twenty twenty.
Dude I am going to re-roll my Blood elf DK come shadowlands into a troll. IT GON BE DA BEST!

I heavily disagree that this is about a lack of talent. Thatâs missing the point.
The problem is that lore development is mandated by gameplay application, and nothing is going to really happen if it doesnât have a reason for it. Both Elegy and A Good War were good stories by themselves, even if they were framed by such a dumb resolution. The talent is there.
Itâs just thereâs no necessity to waste time on the high elf narrative as long they are not playable or a central part of another leveling experience.
I think part of it is that WoW grew too big, too quickly, and they ended up with a lot more moving parts than they tthought they would have originally.
IDK man, I think writing good stories by themselves is not the hardest or most expensive, the problem is indeed that everything is interconnected, so nothing can really change unless itâs approved by people higher up for whom the story itself is at best a vehicle for gameplay.
Thatâs why leveling experiences then to be the best. They have to concern themselves with only the leveling, and are mostly self contained. It feels thereâs more freedom to be creative, since the journey is all there is.
I am really hype to make Guzzle Guzzul the forest troll.
I heavily disagree that this is about a lack of talent.
Iâm sorry Tal, but I need to ask; do you genuinely feel weâve been playing a game the last couple of years where the story was crafted by talented professionals who know and love the game and its lore?
Iâm ignoring the books, quite specifically. I donât play games to be told âwell, the only way youâll understand whatâs happening in the game is to do your homework and complete these reading assignments.â
Yeah, not having a horde race go alliance
The trolling continues.
If its in the past, then it doesnât matter. That would have to apply to the SC if you wished not to be contradictory.
Sure it matters, Blood Elves wonât shut up about it, High Elves were also there, that point is that it mattered, small thing called past-tense, where we donât need to be constantly reminded that it happened, sure we can address what they feel about it now, in their intro scenario, after that itâs sails away for the High Elves continues story in WoW.
See how that works? When youâre not biased?
I am playing oneâŠsoâŠ
Yup.
Youâre kinda being gross dude.
Flies right over your head.
Yes, please feel free to never address. ââ

Would have been cool, but the idea is that the city itself was mostly intact and that the populace itself split. I like that.
Now if we had had the tempest keep as our sanctuary during Legion⊠sigh, that would have been SO much cooler.
But if the SC/Dalarani Dissidence resettle in the crater, IDK, iâd rather see just a regular city. Whatâs the point of floating if you are resettling and donât need a moving command centre?
