During the UC scenario they say stuff on the Horde side. A fair bit of venom in Lor’themar there.
I think theres one other spot… not sure if I imagined that one though.

U should have done that to start with this thread and every other high elf thread like it. Just smile and nod at the idea and don’t share it. It’s a bad idea even in fanfic. That’s how you know it is really bad.

And yet you started this whole digression into how we’re not empathetic with this hypothetical example about high elves formed in such a way to try and head off any counterarguing. And you’re still going for an elf based model. I think if you’re going Half elf it should be based off a less muscular human model.
And I dunno, I feel like the half elves were brought into this particular discussion to distract from the whole idea that we’re just being cold hearted towards your requests.
agreed. well i dont like their run animations though and i’d still want elf ears and eyebrows, but they could be shortened to look nothing like the longer elf ears of belfs, velfs, nb and ne.
and i love male and female belf casting animations. i’d be more than willing to accept equally beautiful animations for half elves, if they were totally new and well done. as far as i’m concerned, i dont want a belf/helf copy. i want a half elf modified in such a way that they are different than belfs and helfs but similar enough you can see some family resemblance

shrug Look, I don’t have a problem with half elves, I’ll admit, I’m more in favor of them as they’re multi-taskers that can give human players an option for a still human looking slim model if they don’t want a muscle model.
Not all of us are ok, and while I can’t speak for Guzzle, I think some of it comes from the way it picks at the compromise that is in place (Compromise in the sense of design compromise) where neither side is happy with what they didn’t get, but there’s continuous efforts to chip away at it and get more and more of what one side wants.
Basically just, it’s not necessarily a lack of empathy, it’s a situation where we all feel that our stance is stronger than our empathy that might wish there was a way for everyone to get what they want.
Or in other words can you not use this line of attack again please? It’s not that bad in the grand scheme of things, but this kind of thing just escalates tempers

okee dokee. 
here’s an example. this is someone’s version of a half elf. he’s way too pale and would be better as a san’layn model for male san’layn but that pose, that’s glorious. would be the perfect starting point for a half elf idling animation.

I dunno, I saw you post that earlier and I kinda thought it looks like one of the more grey colored void elves.

oh i thought he looked san’layn-ish. though some male san’layn’s are currently a nelf model there are some belf san’layn males too. see how his chest is out just a bit. that’s what belf males do. that would make just the suggestion of a male belf, but with a different leg pose. really good half elf render.
