The High Elf Love Thread đŸ„°

And also remember, Ion said that the Void Elves are only a crack elite-squad

Numbers still remain dead on arrival.

Looks like its about time that maybe Alleria and Vereesa might finally do something in the Story instead of doing nothing like they were doing in BFA.

BFA could had a lot of Potential with Alleria
Atleast hopefully Shadowlands might do something for the Character since Sylvanas is still out there.

i wouldnt hold out hope for vereesa and her SC making any significant appearances. outside of standing around in the background of khadgar or alleria for the next 3 sisters narrative. theres only a few hunters and a couple mages left in the SC anyway. after all, alleria and her void elves have basically replaced them as the alliance high elves. the SC will never be seen with more presence or relevance to the story then the velfs(who are actually playable) ever again

Another helpful post from a one hit wonder.

They are bound to do anything better than what they did this Xpac.

Source on this claim?

And yet, the High Elves keep appearing out of the woodwork.

This expansion fails anyways with the story. I am just hoping the story does not get any worse than this.

Yep. Using this expansion’s story to justify the end of high elves is missing that BfA was a total disaster, and Blizzard will probably, or at least should, reconsider every decision made in it. It’s very clear they dropped the ball really hard this time

Sadly, I have no hope for Shadowlands so far

I am actually trying to work out actually how the story is going to actually move forward from BfA going into Shadowlands. There has been no sign yet of the story move forward at the moment.

Don’t say that, they’ll take it as a challenge.

there is also the fact that they would have a higher population than many currently playable races.

People say that doesn’t matter as it is supposed to represent their low population that they are not playable however why should we apply a rule for one race and not the others?

If the population argument is what people want to use then we need to remove gnomes, vulpera, tauren, draenei, trolls, and likely nightborne from being playable.

Yes, it feels like the story is moving sideways. Unless Sylvanas leads some kind of army back into Azeroth in later patches, it will be just a meaningless adventure with no real stakes (despite every character trying to convince the players that the universe is threatened or whatever).

Also, the Jailer, as a new character, will either end up being a failed villain because of lack of depth in his story (like Argus), or, at best, Blizzard manages to make him cool and threatening, only to off him in his very first story, like the Thunder King).

I hate when people actually use numbers as an argument. What does numbers actually prove?

And I am not accusing one side, this is something along both sides. Even one on the Anti using numbers as an argument to there own reason why they think High Elves shouldn't be playable.

That’s not a fact, not to mention they would have to be a population a player race could be drawn from. They are not.

It’s also coming from the game director.

WoW needs to into a heavy lore focus.

Do the story properly. Don’t just focus on a select few characters at a time and all the others be ignored even though they would be relevant to current events.

Also stop having just the racial leaders and key champions be the characters used in the story. Expand. There are a lot of characters to use and that need to be created.

Make the dwarven senate and stormwind house of nobles relevant. Introduce new and use old military commanders not racial leaders to lead battles and have our characters report to for most things.

Why is the racial leader always on the battlefield?? that is how they get killed. The story needs to be more complex not just this “it is a cool moment” and the lore can be changed if it clashes with the cool idea of theirs.

I strongly feel that N’Zoth should have bested us and been a big thing later.
