I donât remember that the males and females had different eyes back when I first started playing in wrath. Thought this happened to the male eyes during the last expansion when they made the new Dalaran for Legion. Of course I could be wrong.
So the male High Elves have a green/blue color (or teal) that encompasses their whole eye but doesnât have the same âglowâ that the Sunreavers do. It looks more glowy than notâŠto me. But weâre probably saying the same thing. lol
If I were to make one I know Iâd spend what would probably be too much time on it, articulating the arguement for their inclusion and providing examples as to what they look like, the dances theyâd have, their emotes, etc.
I just havenât had that amount of time to kill. Iâd like to do it eventually though
IMO the issue started with the WoD models. before that it looked more sky blue.
with the WoD update, the female HE blue eyes looked really blue, only the iris with the rest of the eyes whiteish, but the male eye looks almost all the same color, and itâs at best a tealish light blue, its weird, they do look like a color between high elf and blood elf.
But indeed, now all High Elf eyes -except the ones that use DK eyes- are opaque, and all BE eyes are incandescent -with the glow on the eyeball texture itself, with the exception of now 3 confirmed npcs that use the old green eye texture thatâs now unavailable-
Iâm happy to play a race I love and I want others to be happy playing a race they love, so Iâm tossing in my support for playable high elves. Itâs fun to immerse oneself in the lore of a particular race, but even more fun to play/RP as one.
This is my take on it as well!!! The wisdom is jumping out of this post!! Also the more Iâve read peopleâs reasoning the more I would RP my BE mage to having a reason to renounce the Horde and Iâd use a faction change service on him heh!
Have them write a letter like this but faction instead of Brewfest lol

you can get them to fit the window without stretching by âŠeek iâve forgotten how. lost my level 3 or whatever privileges cause i didnt read/post enough for a couple months. i use to know how to make the image display properly\
edit: oh nvm! you figured it out.
Not sure what I did though
the first one looks like he could be a sanâlayn if given the correct ears/eyebrows
the second one looks like a vulcan!
the last one looks like a young hugo weaving elrond
hey the stance on number 1, that would be an awesome idling stance. itâs soâŠsoâŠsmooth. he looks like a fencer, almost.
Number one is by far my fav the complexion giving me slight undead elf vibes or at least bad guy and I love that!
The last one reminds me of lokiâŠ
huh i thought he looked more like hugo weaving (actor who played elrond in lord of the rings). he does have a rather angry expression. i think its the receeding hairline. haha
Hard to believe people are still using the numbers argument against the idea of playable high elves, even though there are countless other things in the game that donât make sense, like:
- questing as a fire mage and somehow not starting wildfires everywhere
- carrying around 5 backpacks; which are all large enough to carry feasts big enough to feed 25 people
- giant spiders existing, even though their legs are too skinny to support their body weight
- being able to call upon animals to ride or pull out a mechanical vehicle to ride, any time you want
- and getting attacked, while riding large and vicious-looking animals; whose very presence should scare off your attackers, yet they donât even dare to try and defend themselves
oh you started something now!
pulling an entire dragon out of your inventory.
walking up to a blight fight, knowing its a blight fight, and not bringing any form of protection.
being able to cast fire spells under water.
having a space ship that can attack from orbit and not using it in a world war.
thereâs more!
I donât use numbers as an argument period. One thing that was in the Primer thread is in game numbers doesnât mean it is Canon Numbers.
Thereâs literally only a few hundred Draenei left and tiny groups of Lightforged and Void Elves on top of Almost Extinct Darkspear trolls.
The numbers âissueâ was dead on arrival.
