The High Elf Love Thread đŸ„°

Alleria mentions that the whispers have gotten more chaotic/worse after N’zoth’s defeat, as if a filter is gone now, and we get to truly experience Void as a chaotic cosmic force, and not just as parasites created to corrupt Azeroth.

I have never liked the Old Gods because they always behaved like parasites with just a simple end goal, and the reveal they were created by the Void Lords with that purpose only made it worse.

So I’m glad the Void is free of the narrative shackle of the Old Gods.

I think even wanting that is foolish. Blizzard needs to go the other direction first. It needs to tell small stories. It needs to explore the fine details of its setting. It needs to avoid cosmic stuff for a while.

You don’t need to fight Old Gods or Void Lords to have a satisfying conflict. Actually, the best villains were not gods like Sargeras or N’Zoth, but flawed mortals that rose in power like the Lich King, Illidan, Kael’thas or Garrosh.

Blizzard needs to renew its setting, to start again from bellow, to invest in world building.

The simple idea that void elves need the Void to shine is extremely flawed. We need to know them as people, with flaws, variety and complex relationships with the setting’s many elements, way more than we need to see them casting spells.

What an insightful and well thought argument. This is why no one takes you seriously.

No.
The devs word alone is enough. All you are doing is looking for people to go with your beliefs, and you’ll ignore anything suggesting otherwise.

Hit a nerve sweetie?

Still waiting for those against points.

You sound like Bro/Aguni, or possibly Guzzle or Tarrok. Please tell me I’m right, as it’s very on point for you if I am.

Yeah it’s Bro. Very Sheep elf answer.

And you don’t have to say Dev, we all know you just mean Ion.

I know, the audacity of your buddies to alt hop so people talk to them, thanks Tarrok!

That isn’t what she said at all, that is hella disingenuous of you.
It can be summarized as “they had a purpose, but Blizzard was clearly garbage at properly implementing it.”.

Two different things entirely.
These discussions would go more fluidly if you, and several others didn’t misconstru what was stated intentionally

Sorry, unlike someone here, I’ve never felt the need to alt-hop in here.

Especially not to break TOS to avoid a forum silence, Kizzan

So everything Ion has put out on High Elves you considered reliable lore source??

You mistake yourself as having importance enough to bother me.

You:“Argue against this video”.
Me: No.

You have no desire to be convinced. Why waste my time on someone whose only desire is to bait?

I am indeed Broflake/Aguni. I am rather open about my alts, unlike you who uses an entirely different account ~_^
Why did you erase the rest of your post btw? Afraid you’d get caught out?

Yep, Itoldyouso is Broflake.

To be fair to Ion I don’t think he has played through the Alliance Story/Questline fully when it comes to High elves so he has No idea what it means/or why, when Alliance Fans Ask For High Elves. Nor have most of the Anties. (imho}

A lot of antis alt hop too.

Right, but it’s ok for the antis to do it because that’s the only way anyone will even listen to their tired and uprooted points.

Let me know when the last time you saw me change from Cezol.

Or take accountability for the vast majority doing it being your side :man_shrugging:

Yeah figured it out pretty quick, when the only answer given is “No I won’t” and “I say everyone, when I just mean antis”.

I don’t like to blame “Ion” because I have no hell of an idea of what exactly he has decided or not. A lot of decisions come from meetings, from executives, stakeholders or from the teams under him and he respects them.

But I blame Blizzard. And whenever someone uses Blizzard’s decision as a benchmark of quality and wisdom, I’ll point out WoD’s premise and ending, BfA’s disastrous story, this patch’s ending, azerite gear and all the other undeniably stupid decisions that show how flawed the company is.

I don’t think alt hopping is a big deal when people are showing mogs or whatever and state who their main forum avatar is. It just makes me question things when people keep showing up on new characters and not saying who they are.

It’s confusing.

I don’t blame Ion on off-the cuff answers in a floor interview at Blizzcon, but I do blame antis for making it the benchmark for their arguments on the “against”, when the evidence provided by the game they play shows otherwise.

Ignoring nuance is disingenuous, especially when you call on authority and pretend that wins you the argument.

I alt hop sometimes for fun. Most people, like Murg and Broflake, are pretty open about it

BfA finale: 10k dislikes and Blizzard unlisted it from YouTube.

On MMO-Champion, in a poll with 808 voters so far, 70.31% think the expansion was bad or worse. 19.43% think it’s mediocre. Only 10,27% felt it was good or better.

It seems like some do it maybe as a way to get people to respond to them by acting like a new participant.

Murgy always identifies his alts, as does Reno, and I make it a point to.

I hope depending on what I am on since its random. Itoldyouso is what I am using since it was the character it put me on after a internet history reset.
Don’t you love his hairdo!?

The difference is, unlike you I don’t lie about who I am.
Remember how you insisted on not being Kizzan? I do.

I figured everyone knew who I was since I posted on multiple alts way back when. I am not kizzan, I dont need a second account to hide.

It’s easier for my poor brain if people say who they are if they post on an alt.
