Iâd probably pay for and play a High Elf just to scratch that itch before leaving the game for good. It may depend on how much theyâd charge me for it
my suggestion isnât a retcon. It is an expansion on them.
True, but making High Elves available via Void Elves as a development would feel like a bandaid to me. Iâd rather they admit the mistake and make it right
And you think it isnât why?
Where the gaming industry has become 80% âhypeâ, and 90% âquick cash servicesâ you donât think a âbreak glass Incase ofâ moment wouldnât net them a great amount of income?
I can tell you right now the already disgruntled Alliance would flip their lid to a âhype, pro Alliance momentâ like a High Elves. Netting them easy money.
So I can easily see it being a smart âbusiness decisionâ, especially with the already crashed and burned ship that was this expansion and was is essentially becoming the Warcraft IP.
The logic does not work from a business perspective nor from a monetary one. Money that is not gained today has less worth tomorrow because it cannot be used for past investments. You have no understanding of how businesses work if you truly believe they have âbreak glassâ strategies such as high elves.
Do you have any research to support this statement or is this your feeling?
Hint: The most popular option isnât the best option.
If 11% of the population wants high elves, and thats the number 1 option, that means 89% of your customer base wants something else and it is not worth investing.
Donât care.
Terrible video with a silly pov.
Spoken like a true knight.
This video with nothing but facts against my boot licking is dumb because it shows an Alliance High Elf the entire time and flips my âall High Elves are Blood elvesâ table.
Okay Stella.
Well, fighting from the position of âThe people who design the game and all the lore in it are wrong, hereâs a small time youtuber to explain the TRUTH!â is an uphill battle. Or upcliff battle.
Itâs simply bias confirmation on the helferâs part. Look someone just like you and I made a video put it on utube, repeats the same tired arguments the helfers do, so now it means something.
So go ahead and start quoting your points for the âagainstâ in this video, cause until you do your outcry of âbiasâ seems purely personal, as we all know this topic is for you.
Then we simply agree to disagree, but please dont put out misinformation for your opinion.
Iâm curious; In your opinion were they executed well in their introduction?
The problem is that BfA was so⊠lame about the Void stuff that I am almost glad the VEâs didnât get roped into it lol.
Maybe next time we delve into the void from a cosmic perspective -which is honestly more in line with how they were presented on Argus related to Alleria- rather than just parasites on the planetâs crust.
IMO the Old Gods were the most boring part of the whole Void thing. The possibilities now, are endless.
âThey clearly had a purpose we just didnât see itâ What?
I think you are mistaking purpose for potential. They do have a lot of the later, and itâs still yet to be seen, but purpose, on the current narrative? Not at all.
So again, What was the purpose of introducing the Void Elves pre-BfA?
Possibilities are always endless.
Itâs the implementation that worries me.
I lost my faith in Blizzardâs ability to deliver a story. Itâs broken now.
Void elves will probably remain irrelevant for the whole of Shadowlands, which means it will be another two years before they have any chance of doing anything.
I agree tbh, but sadly, none of their potential has been realized, and without any meaningful set up, they just feel shallow. When will we get actual developments with them? Hope itâs soon. But doesnât seem Shadowlands will have space for it.
I mean that is sadly on point; but I do believe they can still tell good stories, just not always.
Yes, and we can only hope the cosmic horror expansion about light and void is good.
If they had taken the cosmic angle from the beginning I would be more open to this, but the second they get Voidified, Alleria is talking about âcontrolling the whispersâ and âI hear them under us constantlyâ, shes obviously alluding to the Old Gods which has been our only hard representation of the universeâs Void influence, so a patch where an Old god is free and âwhispers and madnessâ is the #1 storyline, there couldnât be a more obvious group to deal with it other than the Void elves and Blizzard apparently thought otherwise.
So I donât buy their âpotentialâ or âpurposeâ they couldnât have had a more perfect scenario set up for them with this patch and as they intended from the beginning with Void Elves, itâs a throw away.
