The High Elf Love Thread đŸ„°

I volunteered at baseball games when I was in High School, it was fun. Free soft pretzels

I thought it was funny as hell lol

you expect sources for things but then you drop this after it’s been actually debunked several times? Seriously?

I’m sorry, I can’t take you seriously from here onwards.

We’re talking about the same company that keeps making up arbitrary time gates in order to keep people giving them money.

This people, if they knew high elves would make them money, they would have done so long ago.

You clearly have little understanding of game design if you believe cutting flying would not cut costs.

Hint: You don’t need to give roofs to a building if a player can’t see it.
That saves time and money on development.

I know what you’re actually referring to, but I can’t help but picture it as this

Soft pretzels are the best salted bread product end if discussion.

in all honesty changing what void elves are as a playable race is one of the 2 good paths left to take.

If void elves the race is instead changed to “exiles” with new racials and a new starting zone in addition to new appearances it means the “exiles” race can encompass all alliance aligned thalassian elves.

The recruitment questline and heritage armor don’t need to be changed as they would still be relevant to the race.

Void Elves are a success with issues that if had been implemented a different way would have caused more success.

They are still one of the most played Allied Races for a reason and the numbers from that are meaningful to Blizzard.

That’s just a fact.

And they are in 8.3 inside the Alliance Horrific Vision. But I could understand not knowing this if you don’t want to play the 8.3 content.

I volunteer at a place that helps young parents finish high school, or start college, or both. They teach life skills too, cooking, sewing, and stuff. The sewing studio makes bags, umbrella’s, and other things from feed bags that would ordinarily be thrown away. I help cut patterns and sew, mostly bags but I am learning how to make the umbrellas now. They sell them at farmers markets and fairs and shows, and the profits help them to better their programs.

That’s a racism. The Victorian Socialist Party has a long and storied history. For instance in 1889 when the entire party was arrested as part of a large group fist fight over control of the only copy of the Communist Manifesto in the state.

My worry is that Blizz will see high player numbers with Void Elves and neglect them as a result. They’re popular, but that doesn’t mean they don’t deserve development

but how many players and therefore subs and shop purchases do they stand to lose?

These decisions are not just about cost cutting. You must account for the consequences towards your customers by implementing the change. If the net gain is greater than the loss then the company would implement it (if they were fully for profit as their driving motivation which the WoW dev team clearly isn’t)

If they were to retcon them I’d rather they just make the Silver Coveanant the original Void Elves somehow. That, or introduce a new Half Elf allied race to continue their lineage

That is information we arenot privvy. This is why they attempted to cut flying, and it backfird.
high elves are not a cash cow or else they would have done it by now

Clearly they are a break in case of emergency shop race.

Wonder if Blizz could actually get away with that, selling allied races via the cash shop

Maybe when Wow reaches Rift status.

We all know they could. Especially if the starting race is Helfs.

I’ll admit, I’d probably buy it. Not sure if it’d truly be a big cash cow though, otherwise they’d continue to use allied races as pre order bonuses

People don’t really think this is how businesses operate, do they?

I don’t. And even if it were the reason, would anyone really want to be playing this game if this occurred?
