Like I always said, no matter what every says, High Elves and Blood may be the same race, But the Game, Lore and everyone but Anties acknowledges & recognized the two different factions, Every country is part of the Human Race, But we all have different laws, countries, way of like no mater the size.

They can be incorrect especially considering they didn’t actually create what we are discussing but instead inherited it.

Allegiances mean very little when it comes to what should and shouldn’t be playable.

Obviously those are not enough since they are playable on Horde side and not on Alliance.

the lore doesn’t say it actually. They are not the same people. If that was true you are saying a canadian is exactly the same as a german culturally. That they are the “same people”.

But you can have factions among the same people, I mean even of the categories of non-blood high elves there’s separate factions, does that make them different? It’s just a sign of a disagreement on one topic, that doesn’t require a grand schism that completely changes one or both of the sides.

Vareesa windrunner (high elf) and Lor’themar (blood elf) both hail from the kingdom of quel’thalas. They are the same race, and the same ethnic people. Per the lore, they are all individuals who hail from the kingdom of quel’thalas.

If that was true you are saying a canadian is exactly the same as a german culturally.

Canadians and Germans are diffrent both ethnically and culturally.
High elves and blood elves literally are the same both ethnically and culturally. The entire storyline literally points this out. Denying it is just ignoring facts.

The only difference is political, and sorry, political differences =/= cultural differences.

We are talking about a company whose team clearly does not act solely on profit but instead has their own viewpoints and morals they adhere to even though is has been a severe detriment to the game as is evidence with WoD, legion, and BFA. Legion is viewed as so good because WoD was so bad. In actuality when we look at it critically it did a lot of things wrong especially gameplay systems wise.

1. The fel radiation didn’t mutate them. Per the devs, the eye color is a manifestation of whatever magic is affecting them. It did not change them from the original thalassian race they have always been.

2. Both high elves and blood elves are affected by the sunwell. This is demonstrated in Shadows of the Sun, Blood of the Highborne, WotLK, etc etc.

3. Even if they were mutated, per the devs, the blood elves are cleansed by the sunwell.

I wish you and several others would stop holding onto untruths.They inhibit the discussion.

Us Void Elves just should’ve been created from High Elves, end of story. A population of potential Void Elves existed already, why they didn’t go with them is beyond me

But alas, Void Elves are the nail in the coffin for a High Elf allied race. Maybe we can be retconned in the future? I’m usually not in favor of retcons, but our implementation feels dumb and rushed.
