A continue on the path and stay with my server characters. Being nearly broke level because I believe in mostly being legit and not buy gold or run gdkps for months… but ultimately attached to the characters ive made.
B Fresh Start
Start a new…more ethical server… with boosting (in the beginning) not being a thing. Great open world battles during the beginning. An overall healthier server when it comes to the economy itself.
Just start a character on one of the fresh servers at the beginning of pre-patch and see how you like it. Regardless, it should be a pretty fun leveling experience.
It’s your call.
What I will say is if you want to go to fresh for the server economy stuff it’s not realistic to expect that to last. If you want to go there because it will be fun to level with others and have “open world battles” that’s fine to at least try it out.
If your “nearly” broke its not since you don’t run gdkps and don’t buy gold.
It’s quite easy to make gold even without doing that while keeping up with raid consumes epic flying and everything else just by doing your daillys. You get a crap ton of gold from the sunwel daillys and even without doing them im sitting at 8k without doing sunwel daillys gdkps or buying gold after epic flight plus all the stuff I “need” plus being in a guild that requires full raid consumes including scrolls on all pulls (scrolls on the first few pulls of prog we dont use than use right after we get feel ie first wothin 5 pulls of a hard boss like muru). As a note I more or less raid log other than when waiting on raid to fourm (we require you to be on 30 min early but not in zone till time) so just use that time to ikis farm for large pris shards and sell them for 150-300g in that 30 min twice a week. Than do one additional set after raid each day. That 600-1200 gold a week from almost no extra work adds up fast.
But the point is if your broke now you will be broke in fresh changing will change nothing. Your issue is how you play if your broke. Esp as a pally that has access to a even better gold production way than daillys or ikis farming.
As for fresh having a better economy it will for exactly a week than people will hit max level and the bots will be in full force. At that point well even before that resources won’t be easy to gather as bots gathering and prices will be droping fast from bots flooding the market making it hard to make gold in any other ways than the same ways as other realms. With gold being sold.
Fresh is not a reset it’s a heaven for bots. As you are changing the realms with low gold value from being overfed by bots for a long time to a new realm that gold will be worth a fair bit for awhile making the fresh realms the ideal target for bots. They will be the home of the most bots out of any realm.
Fresh start. I tried leveling in the already established servers a month ago or so and the experience was awful, even as a tank/healer duo. We could not find any DPS to run dungeons with because 99% of them replied with “sorry, getting boosted”. I had also heard that at max level it’s basically impossible to gear unless you have a guild (what guild is going to want to carry a fresh 70?) or you already have a main with a LOT of gold.
FRESH for short term fun.
This has since been nerfed into the ground.
With the EXP event and that, you should find more people queuing up now at least.

Its a personal choice. Gdkps are a tainted way of getting funded.
It subtracts from the actual journey to get there.

I view GDKPs on the level of using the gold cheat in Warcraft 2 at the start of every game.
Its cool and all and its nice but the overall journey and feeling of accomplishment is sullied.
Botting and boosting will still exist on new servers. This delusional “paradise fresh” is the most hilarious cope by people who haven’t accomplished anything in Classic. Not to say fresh won’t have upsides, but pretending it’s going to be “bot and booster” free is pure cope. I have a screenshot from the first few weeks of Classic launch where I’m getting spam whispers asking me to sell boosts.
Fresh servers will die fairly quickly, majority will not abandon their ZG tigers and stuff, it’s not private servers community that ready to start over every few months.
But i guess you can later transfer to bigger server if that happens

I concur. I myself have established characters on Pagle and Mankirk, however I intend to give a fresh server a go just for something refreshing. Give it a try, see what you think, and if it doesn’t work out in a week or so, you still have time to return to your server and benefit from the prepatch and exp buff to get what you’d like to max level for launch.

If those are your reasons, then it’s a tough call, imo. As it’s likely only a matter of time (and probably not even much), before you see all the behaviors you don’t like on the other realms.
If, however, you’ve joined a fresh start guild, and have a community to be a part of, I think Fresh will be a great time.
The problem with existing servers isnt GDKP its the age of the servers causing gold to accumulate for all users
These servers are 1000 days old, so if a person was earninng 100 gold a day they would have 100,000 gold and 100 gold per day isnt very much.
Joining an old economy is a poor choice if you can join a new one (as accumulated gold is lower).
People need to stop thinking fresh will be different to existing servers yes there will be gdkps, trash farms, soloing instances, boosting of various kinds. The only difference is you wont be 1000 days behind on gold making.
It’s not going to take long for RMT to hit new servers either. If you’re attached to your characters, I’d stick with them. If you’re not (or you plan to go DK) fresh should be better for a while.
I would genuinely not be surprised if blizzard forgets to turn off transfers for fresh, and the economy is ruined from day 1
Go fresh, all these people saying that the economy will not last, yes it’s true but the reaility is that in order to get to the inflation rates the already existing realms are in it will had to have passed at least a year or so, existing realms have an accumulated pool of gold of two years now. There is no way like actually real way in any universe were bots would be able to farm two years worth of gold and inject it into the fresh economy. So you’ll be pretty safe in the fresh realms for at least a year 
That could be the case now, that’s true. We were leveling before the xp buff was even announced so back then no one was questing or doing dungeon runs.

I completely agree with this. I don’t care if the fresh servers end up having bots and all that stuff you mentioned (most people know they will eventually), I just don’t want to be years behind from everyone else which I would be if I stayed in an already established server.
