People have the craziest fears.
It makes gold change hands that’s literally it.
Gold isn’t generated, it’s just changing who has ownership of it.

It’s called Hopium.
These people lost the ability to collect gold from swipers in GDKPs. Now watching them flip out because they can’t swap gold between different versions of the game shows how much that was going on. So now they’re grasping at the Token.
The Token increases botting, and a lot more gold selling. But they don’t care. They want anything that means they don’t have to play the game and earn things.

as someone who doesn’t have a 2nd account i think this is kinda dumb because i have to trust someone in order to help send gold to my horde alts if I have them on the same server and ive never had an issue (ive never rmt’d for this and never will)

The WoW Token should never have been introduced to the game and should not be implemented on Anniversary Classic.

Cata has less bot rants than anniv does. With larger WCL numbers most times.
Also not all mat botters are rmt for gold. There is the other option not many rant on.
Professional packages. for 24.99…all mats to level to 300+ for crafting! that gold is not wrecking the ah. It not even gold. its say 500 mats in the mail to a dude who paid 24.99.
And that dude is probably dropping armours made for leveling on the AH for cheap lol. Or leveled enchanting too and is now enchanting for tips.
Log onto Cata Mankrik horde and took a look at Naxx. Those armies of bots live there 24/7. With names ranging from Rxfpz to Mklef. Blizz does nothing.
Bots are everywhere on those servers. And if it was a single Megaserver like anniversary it would be even worse. And far more noticeable.
Every server for cata has 50+ paladins in Naxx with gibberish names farming raw gold, how can anyone look forward to MoP with that shenanigans running behind the scenes 24/7, the catalyst? GDKPs
As long as they remove that eyesore of a shop bar I don’t give a hoot for or against tokens.
