If fans decided how warcraft worked, nobody would play warcraft.
Actually; there’s really pointless restriction where Alliance races and Horde races can’t be in a party together. Even though it doesn’t provide anything to the game.
Yeah… definetly don’t like final fantasy.
I know. But faction based game could let both factions play together.
It’s not rocket science.
They can keep the faction conflict as part of the lore but for gameplay purposes let the opposing factions do certain content together. Everyone wins.
Correct, but you didn’t do that in the original Warcraft game which was literally focused on the faction conflict.
You can play both factions. You can play together with anyone you want. What’s stopping you? You keep skirting around that
Mercenary mode exists. This is a thing already. There we go. Everyone wins
They can and should expand that concept beyond pvp.
Oh, right. It’s Sunday.
Why? You gave your perception on how it should be, and it already exists. Why change the argument now?
Can you group, do dungeons and raids cross faction? Then no, it doesn’t already exist.
Alliance races and Horde races can’t play together.
That’s the problem
You said certain content. It’s applied to certain content. It exists.
There is no problem. You want to play with horde races, you play a horde race. You want to play with alliance, you play alliance races.
There is no problem
Are you really doing this?
It doesn’t exist for pve content. It should.
Why though?
So people can play the character they want and not be barred from grouping with the people they want to group with.
All they need to do is add Merc Mode to PvE. They already have that in PvP when you queue, you can be queued into groups of a mix of both alliance and horde. That’s what Blizzard did to help solve the issues of imbalance in the factions in PvP. So if they add that for PvE when queuing for Dungeons and Raids, then that would fix that issue without having to remove factions.
Who are these people they want to group with. And why are all these people stuck to only one character with no variation in a game that’s quite diverse?
Edit: this is an issue for the smallest percentile of people. If it even makes it that high in the statistical world.
If you wanna group with horde, play horde. If you wanna group with alliance, play alliance. It’s really that simple.
It’s a community made issue. The game doesn’t bar you from anything. You yourself do
All of those questions are irrelevant. It’s an unnecessary barrier that doesn’t need to exist.
I don’t think the game would be better without the faction divide. WoW is based on that and people feel deeply about their factions.
Personally I would like to see an xpac based around the Alliance and Horde helping their people. In this xpac you would have Alliance/ Horde Loyalist party and a blended party. Players would get a choice to be either a loyalist or in the blended party, think of how covenants work. Players in the blended party would be able to group together and communicate regardless of faction. Loyalist players would get access to a spy network that allows for them to try and disrupt peace talks and more pvp options as well. There could even but a brawlers type thing but were you fight notable npcs from the opposite faction.
And xpac like this would also allow for older zones and capital cities to get visual updates and questing for max levels. Think classic and northrend zones.
