You’re missing the point. They aren’t doing this change to fix all the games issues revolving wbuffs. They just want people to play the game while in wbuff jail, that’s all they are adressing in this post

Nearly all of the people I have interacted with on PVP servers sharing the sentiment or a similar one.
I chose a PVP server because I enjoy PVP. I don’t see rez purgers as PVP. I am not suggesting that there is no discussion and I am unequivocally correct.
I would ask do you play on a PVP or PVE server and do you engage in world dispelling?

If they had done it at the start of classic, people would have been up in arms with #NoChanges. I’m sure there was a middle ground somewhere where they could have done it before it was toward the end, but it’s still a nice change.
I see a lot of negative comments but my guild is discussing this in our raid currently and as a large group of dedicated classic players there its an overwhelmingly positive reception!

Its still part of PvP. The purging meta and the dispel meta, as atrocious as it is is part of the pvp meta. Griefing your own faction by murdering the Priest that MCs ony/neff buff guy is part of the PvP. The freedom to give players an option on how they want to engage with others. Tools like the one above just eliminate those options.
PvP server. I can not dispel buffs, but I do like to hunt buffers down. Since thats how I enjoy playing the game. Its not some exclusive wbuff sniping but its always funny to get a guy who got em all. Thats how I spice up my pvp experience.

idk about you but i was kinda looking forward to stuff going back to “normal” in vanilla after tbc. now there is no excuse, gonna have to camp bb to or sit in stormwind waiting for one to go off to start my “train” depending on what the infrastructure of the server is like.
guess alli warriors gonna have to keep buying horde gold to buy them rend heads or risk snipers (very profitable lol) + a capper account
anyway i like the change but i think its too late for it. after tbc i think it will only help the “hardcore” out on dmf weeks. the rest of the players who stay are going to have more pressure on them to get world buffs when the world buff situation is going to change, fact… (e.g there will be less)
Edit: no i changed my mind i hate the change, the “end end game” is ruined i.e. buff watch

Can the Chronoboon Displacer be used to store buffs “one at a time” or does it snapshot the current “set” of buffs altogether?
i.e. do we still need to worry about getting purged/killed whilst we are putting the whole set of buffs together or will this let us get each one independently.

Why not just prevent world buffs from working in raids?
Back in the day we never did this world buffs stacking crap. Your fix is ridiculous imo.
Prevent them from being used in raid dungeons, if anything it makes it more accurate.
In the end, Blizzard failed, this project, with all the changes, and “warts and all” is just going to be another descent into retail.

User Story:
I have the Chronoboon Displacer. I have used it yesterday, to store my WCB and RCD buffs. I have this aura-granting item in my inventory.
- Is my Chronoboon Displacer on CD till I use this aura?
- Can I use the Chronoboon Displacer again?
Sub-Scenario:
I can use it again (2 is “Yes”), and I now have ZG buff.
Do I:
- Create a 2nd item, not overwriting the 1st aura item.
- Create a 2nd item, overwriting the 1st aura item.
- Add the ZG buff to the 1st item.
I’d prefer 3, but I’d like to know

The OP says “classic era” but then you say it will come out before TBC classic is released, I thought classic era was the term for the servers being left in the “classic era” and that current servers would be rolled into TBC as normal.
So this will be applied to all realms whenever the patch goes out?
This needs to have WCB on it otherwise it is useless for me. I still have to stay logged out to save my WCB.
Currently bugged, if you are near players who use the supercharged item it will also give you buffs released such as WCB, ZG, Ony

this feels like it doesnt address the issue of world buffing, not being world buffed.
id rather have the npc that ptr and china has that just givbes you world buffs. fixes everything.
BUT
im not stayin on classic servers. so enjoy your world buff fix.

These clowns in the thread, “OH NO I WANT TO LOG OFF FOR A WEEK FOR DMF!!!” …I wish blizzard will implement this then take it away two weeks later for these same idiots in this thread to say “WTF YOU FINALLY LET ME PLAY THE GAME THEN TAKE IT AWAY” (Comment not meant for people who see this change as good)
