Banning bots and gold sellers is good business, they have to buy new accounts, make sure the banwaves only happens once every 3-6 months for maximum profits!
I have no idea what changed they made as I quit retail long ago, guess the amount of people quitting because they hated boosting was enough profit loss to take a small stance against it then.
And yes, I will respect the original developers like kevin jordan/mark kern/jeff japlan etc that actually cared for the game and made the game I love most, you are pathetic.
Yep, you could say it was indirect because the victim took their life but still this dev is running around living life. I think they are way too much trouble to have a serious industry career now but it doesn’t stop them from continuing to hover around.
I dunno what my point is though, I have been in a bit of a mood with random asides.
A large amount of complaints I see about retail WoW tend to come from people who claim to have quit long ago and just mindlessly consume Bellular and Asmongold and echo their opinions.
He says the sentiments in the leak reflect the reality of the cultural shift at Blizzard based on his own experience. The leak is a conversation starter, not a piece of evidence he uses.
I come back from time to time to check out if the game is still trash and to try it out and have a laugh at how bad it is and wonder how morons are still paying to play this garbage, I’m never disappointed, shadowlands was a new low.
I play the game very thoroughly as well so I can have a a truly honest opinion, I did mythic raiding and pushed rated battlegrounds for gear and the entire system was garbage, no wonder the entire playerbase has moved to final fantasy and it’s only cash cows and people with to much time/money invested into the game to quit left.
Welcome to 2010… Monetization is where it is at because all the game companies have private equity investors. It will get worse as more money continues flowing to mobile gaming and consoles. PC Games will probably make less money with all the streaming systems coming out. More people will be playing on phones and tablets instead of spending $60+ for a AAA title outright.
I still played Shadowlands for 3 months to check it out, did mythic raiding and high rated pvp and every aspect of the game so I know what I am talking about, keep sticking your head in the sand and finding reasons to dismiss my opinion so you can stay in your safe bubble you’ve created for yourself while everyone else leaves for greener pastures.
Enjoy your boosts in 9.1 and ensuring bobby has a new yacht this, peace out losers.
Like I said, I was doing mythic and high rated PvP to get a feel for all aspects of the game so I could form an honest impartial opinion, grinding out that stuff isn’t hard, it’s a chore, a long, boring, time gated chore.
Big game developers making games for profit should not come as a surprise. Especially one that is publicly traded.
If you want developers that are making games for the passion of it, you head to Steam and support new or independent developers.
However, you need to be prepared that if your favorite developer becomes large enough to become a publicly traded corporation, the drive will be for numbers not gameplay.
This is not unique to WoW. It’s just how the real world works.
