Slightly earlier? It should be at max level for each individual character.
I am not willing to give in to Ion’s personal view on this. The booes at blizzcon proved his view is not even popular with the rich white knight crowd.
The invention of PF really sucks for returning players that are left behind until the next xpac if they don’t want to grind for hours and days to get caught up.
Zero incentive for me to tell my friends to play when they are so far behind in content.
The facts are yet again - blizzard told us flight was in WoD and upon release told us flight was removed. They were called on this deception, lost subs and had to make good on their initial word and they put flight back in, with spite that continues to this day and will until Ion is removed and put back to where he actually shines - designing raids and dungeons. It was not a compromise and we only told them to do what they had promised during pre-sales. Blizzard made this a problem, not us.
I agree. I had a friend come back to wow (last time she played was cata). She made the comment to me last night that not being able to fly in the new (to her) areas just plain sucks.
What part of “flying doesn’t let you skip any ACTUAL content” don’t YOU understand??
Flying let’s you skip:
Jumping puzzles - OK content, but also skipped by DHs, rogue grapple, blink, etc. So not affected.
Quest mobs - last I checked can’t kill anyone while mounted on flying mount. Not affected.
Gathering quests - not unless you’re a druid, but they suck anyway (druids, not gathering quests). Not affected.
Terrain obstacles - I’ll give you this one, but why can’t my 8’ high Spider or Ellek climb over something that’s only knee high??. Affected but stupidly implemented.
Hordes of inconsequential mobs - Affected.
So the only 2 things affected by flight are blizz stupid terrain design and the mob hordes. If that’s thier idea of fun content then no wonder people are leaving in droves. Pathfinder is designed to do nothing but arbitrarily extend the time it takes us to do something, which is why I call it a punishment.
The fact that Blizzard had to reverse the no flying going forward because of the backlash. Apparently more players like flying than their no flying going forward.
Also classic is so popular because of the mountain of issues with BFA.
Pathfinder works for me because I unlock most of it by doing trivial activities I’d be doing regularly anyway. It also saves me on gold sinks on alts by not having to purchase some random insert expansion name flight license.
My first statement is a fact. The devs wanted flying gone. What possible reason would they have to reverse that decision? I know! The massive amount of unsubbing people did. Pathfinder is the punishment to those players that didn’t allow flying to be taken away.
So you actually believe people are playing classic just because it has no flying?
I couldn’t imagine throwing money at a company who would participate in such childish practices. By throwing your time and money at them you’re only condoning such behavior.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for continuing to support Blizzard, even when you claim they are so childish, so that the rest of us who support them can continue to enjoy their products.
So have you ever enjoyed a product or service very much but just really disliked one aspect of it? Do you just drop something you enjoy because there’s one part you don’t like? I think any rational person would try to get what they don’t like changed. It’s clearly an issue with many people as well.
Yep, sometimes I can work through those issues. But we’re talking about a thing that has been around now for coming to 4 expansions. 4 expansions and we’re still throwing a temper tantrum. It’s about fine time to suck it up and accept that Pathfinder is here and no matter how much of a fit you throw it won’t go anywhere.
See you’re so dismissive of this issue you call it a temper tantrum instead of feedback. Paying customers giving feedback. Maybe it would be in your best interest to ignore all flying threads because you’ve dismissed the issue entirely.
It’s very ridiculous to assume things can’t change in a game where things change all the time.
I got pathfinder because I was simply tired of being grounded.
I’m old-school; (“Ok, Burning Crusader”)
I enjoy the “Dev’s hard work” just fine from the skies, and in fact, more-so because I get to appreciate the “Big Picture” from above.
I pursue pathfinder for no other reason than my HATRED for being grounded in Blizzards carefully theme-park, railroaded world that I didnt mind enduring for progression to max level, but utterly hated afterward.
Are you new to the forum? Have you seen many of these flying threads that don’t turn into giant hissy fits, threats to unsub, players screaming about how dead the game is, threats against the developers, petitions to have dev’s fired, have you never seen this?
Dismissive… c’mon. You’ve already got your answer three dozen times, just because you don’t like the answer doesn’t mean it wasn’t given.
