Azerite armor was bad, I’ll agree with you there. But complaints about artifact weapons at the time were made by a minority of the playerbase for sure.
I post on an alt character cause I’ve received harassment in game before from people on the forums.
I feel however you likely dont actually care.

Seriously Legion is the second expansion that many many many people quit after the honeymoon period en masse. WoD was the first largely due to the war on flight and how long stuff took without flight making chores even more tedious. Legion had a lot of people quit because it blew chunks on launch in terms of accessibility. I don’t know why they hate people being able to play this game casually but it went into full force starting in legion and has continued since.

No they weren’t. People hated the artifact system on launch and how it stopped you from playing multiple specs and multiple characters. It was loathed.

Achievements and feats of strength are account wide doesn’t matter if you post on alt of not thats a bad excuse
Not to mention all rogues players had ap wiped and artifacts get a complete rework 2 weeks after launch making anything they did prior non existent

I like the covenant system with a few caveats.
- Weekly conduit lockout needs to go
- Let us join all covenants and switch between them
- Delete renown right now I’m sick of ap even if it’s easier
If all you were looking for is proof I played at the time, clearly you didn’t look hard enough. I have a ton of achievements from late 2016 on Luna.
Also not all stuff appears on the armory accountwide. The armory is old and wonky. I’m looking at several achievement I know for a fact I did yet they’re marked incomplete on Luna.

But people will always pick someone with the right covenant will over people who don’t. I mean, if you saw someone who choose to optimize in PVP, will you still pick him over the ones you know are better for your m+ group?
Let’s hope today’s beta build will touch upon making Covenants swappable!

I dont think there is any way in hell they will do it now that all this has happened. I’m guessing, based on history, that they view “we told you so” as a much more favorable option to ceding ground in the first place.
They won’t do anything now. They’ve already decided they’ll only change it if needed in the middle of the expansion.
Which is preferable. Large changes to baseline systems like that really shouldn’t be made based on the opinions of a small minority who has researched the content before it’s released.
Once everyone has gotten a chance to try it and a proper consensus has been made? Sure, consider changes then, but not when many people haven’t even heard of the system.

It’s far too late. EG: Legiondaries, Legion artifacts, BfA Azerite. Damage is done, player drop off happens, people don’t come back.
Fix it before it hits live.
Live isn’t the time to beta test. Beta is.

There’s no reason to wait until the system comes out. Huge flaws have already been pointed out.

I don’t wanna beta test the third expansion in a row until it’s halfway done.

People didn’t like it in the alpha. They don’t like it in the beta. Content creators of all different styles are warning against it. Now we’re being told to wait and see because it’s not live yet.
Gee, if only we had seen this play out before and could apply that knowledge somehow.
