Sorry you feel that way, you seem to attack me for misplaced anger it seems now multiple times in multiple threads.
Like this…we’re all having a good conversation in here, why did you need to come in here and post this? Vash came in, made his point and read what I had to say and now we’re more or less on the same page, despite being from different sides of the issue.
It’s how it usually is…
I’m not explaining why I feel the way in feel in GD of all places.
#pulltheripcord
Pulling the cord is the same as jumping overboard. One is jumping from a plane with a parachute, the other is abandoning the ship/boat.
The real context here is abandoning something. Like abandon the game…
Actually I see new faces.
PULL THE RIPCORD
It would be the best thing to happen with systemlands and it might generate some hype.
This is a horrible solution that would cause way, way more problems than it would solve. I know you say it with the best intentions, but it would be better to make Covenants entirely swappable with a Tome than do it this way.
#pulltheripcord
A moderator locked my original post and removed the callout to Blizzard and the hashtag, not really sure what was wrong with the Hashtag…
#PullTheRipcord won’t be silenced.
They don’t like communicating on twitter and it can be construed as trying to rally support for a twitter campaign.
Best chance to have the ripcord pulled are these forums and wow reddit.
They don’t like to communicate anywhere apparently.
Now you are understanding what has happened.
They don’t use their own forums. They then set up twitter accounts which they never use. If you tweet directly you will be blocked 9/10.
Communication that is one way and infrequent is not sufficient for a AAA MMORPG of this size and scope.
BlizZard used to be the gold standard of communication that other companies copied. Now? They lag behind their competitors and have resorted to only communicating in back channel discords with classes.
Have you wondered how the new class designer aka the great unpruner has not come to talk to anyone on these forums at all with the upcoming expansion regarding class design, covenants, etc?
Before the great unpruner left WoW he was known to post on the forums and twitter regarding WoW frequently.
Makes you think if blizZard has a black out order for all employees working on WoW.
You would still want to learn all of the covenants before making your choice as to which one you’re going to stick with. Pulling the ripcord allows you to do so without having to resort to alts or wasting time grinding back if you change your mind.
But they do like telling us how they’re going to improve communication in the future.
I may be in the minority here but im perfectly fine with non-swappable covenants, conduits, and limited legendaries. Here is why: I LOVE ALTS. This is the most alt-friendly system since legion. Why? Because it ENCOURAGES you to level multiple characters, to experience different covenant stories, quests, scenarios, ect. You can shut your mouth because this isnt a competetive mmo, its an MMO RPG. A role playing game thats also an mmo. If you dont like that blame the damn community for turning it into a damned e-sport.
I mean, what you’re saying here is that the system is more alt friendly than BFA, that’s not much.
It’s not encouraging you, it’s essentially forcing you to level alts. I don’t feel it’s fair to call it encouragement if they aren’t leaving you another choice.
Blizzard are the ones who fund the MDI and arena tournaments, you don’t need to get aggressive. You’re aiming your pitchfork at the wrong people.
Yeah, role-playing game, as in it has game-play.
Why are you blaming the damn community when it’s Blizzard who encourage competitive levels in two of their forms of content and put a lot of focus on the RTWF?
Telling people you disagree with to shut their mouths isn’t a productive line of discussion. All those alt-friendly things you like can still be done if covenant abilities are openly switchable.
They could just make cosmetic rewards or pet rewards that were handed out with loyalty to the covenant. So you’d still essentially have four alts if you wanted to get all the rewards.
If this is true, why am I able to swap weekly?
Maybe it’s just me, but levelling multiple druids in order to try all the abilities doesn’t really feel like playing ‘alts’ to me.
Now, if I could use all the abilities on a druid…then i’d be more encouraged to play other alts to play around with other new abilities.
