no pulls no speeds to dives no freaking nothing…no ports nothingggggggggg.
People are flying across the field with the flag and porting all over creation with the thing? put a darn handicap on the flag this could have been solved so long ago and it would force better execution with escorting…ya know because its capture the flag.
Probably need more Monk nerfs. MW specifically is already bottom of the barrel in Arenas - let’s make sure they’re trash in BGs, too.
Frankly speaking, I think Tiger’s Lust needs to include x sec of immunity to movement impairing effects on top of breaking roots and snares and providing a speed boost, seeing as every man and their dog has spammable roots and snares now.
That’s right. You heard me. A buff to Monk mobility.
WOD had rogues abusing burst of speed for an entire patch (to my knowledge might’ve been longer ) and Legion had DH going even faster to the point that even a player fully mounted could not catch up to them.
The debuff has been desperately needed for years now.
Whats funny is my Dragon Charge doesn’t work with the flag. Never has.
WSG just now, I capped the first flag as Prot had 3 in our Flag room I’m alone of course. They pick up the flag I’m stuck in combat with EFC. After 2 mins I’m like Jesus someone go get our flag. They are literally fighting mid waiting for me to do it??!
They started cursing at me. Your a Tank do your job. Yet NONE of the Dps are doing their job. No one is helping me get the actual flag. So we got 2 capped on. Keep in mind I also had 2 EFC returns and 8 KBs cause their team wouldn’t leave me a lone cause I’m the Tank.
I got no peels, support, heals. Yet it’s my tremendous burden to get the flag for you while you fight mid? That isn’t my job. Sorry. If I get no support I’m not even grabbing the flag anymore till Dps learn their role.
Double evoker or evoker / mw is almost impossible to catch. 3 hovers ( immune to slows) plus they can rescue each other for even more movement or vertical reverse life grip, can also VE to the other player for even movement ( while moving that whole time with a 70% move increase.
Had one of my worst BGs over the weekend. Monk set their TP on the 2nd floor in the flag room. Ran OUTSIDE of the map room and when he was in danger would just TP back to the 2nd floor inside. With him and another healer being together it was impossible to kill him and good luck getting your team to split up so you could catch him when he TPed.
in general, you want things to have counterplay. Your suggestion is to remove counterplay which is bad. You want buffs ask other things but not to remove any counterplay
It’s not “Counter-play” to just insta reapply a spammable root or snare. It makes the ability pretty much useless.
This has nothing to do with “Counter-play.” It’s about making an ability actually do something instead of nothing because they’ve given so many classes some kind of spammable root or snare.
I pop Tiger’s Lust, break the snare, get a nice 70% speed boost… and I’m snared again in the next global. I’m other words: I have an ability that does pretty much nothing. Feels like
Sounds like a Monk using their mobility toolkit properly. Everybody hates it, until they play a Monk, and realize that they’re squishy and have to rely on mobility to not get killed.
What people want would basically make it impossible for any Monk to FC.
At the same time mobility creep enabled FCs, CC creep enabled easier peeling people off the FC. The end result is “fair” if teams have similar tools and use them the same, but gameplay feels odd. Ok, was gonna shoot the efc but its a MW monk and the teliported through most of a building and 100 ft of dirt to now have a 30 seconds head start that I cant hope to make up with mounted speed because this DK has me permanently slowed/gripped and that wont matter because Ill die from this one cast of UA removing all my health through every defensive and self heal.
Overall, I love Solo BG(formerly known as Blitz), some specs and how they affect objectives could use some attention.
Some specs cant use most defensives while orb/flag carrying, others are not as disadvantaged. Rupture ticks keep you from capping a flag node while the rogue that applied it is dead, very strange. Ice walls with mages inside them capping flags unless the wall is broken in 3 seconds and the mage is hit in less than the 4 total seconds it takes to cap. Rogues capping during Cloak of Shadows because they are essentially in a paladin bubble without the limitation of being unable to click flags. Lots of stuff needs attention.
Frankly speaking, I think we need to be going in the opposite direction, letting people use all of their abilities. For example, why can’t a Pally Bubble while FCing seeing as a Druid can shift out of every root or snare, a DH can glide, a Monk can Port, etc. It never made any sense to me why some things are allowed and others are not. It seems very arbitrary.
I don’t think restricting/limiting more abilities is the answer to anything. It’d just make it increasingly difficult for anyone to run the flag - and this is especially true in RBGBs, where you’re at 10 stacks by the time you hit the other end of the map (if you can even get that far). If a DPS so much as sneezes in your general direction at that point, you’ll die. But, yes, let’s make this even harder by crippling FCs some more. Then every WSG can be a drawn team fight in mid because no one will bother to pick up the flag.
Some classes have this. Like Monk. But it’s also a fundamental part of their toolkit. If you take it away from them while FCing, you basically make it impossible for them to FC seeing as they are squishy even before they start getting stacks.
Admittedly, it is kind of ironic how the same sort of people crying about Monk mobility are likely the same sort of people saying things like, “Mobility is your defensive” (they say the same thing about Hunters, too, mind you). Is it? Then why are we talking about removing those defensives while FCing?
At any rate, I think the bigger issue isn’t any specific class, per se, but the fact that some teams are good and some teams are bad. Some teams go after the EFC, and other teams just ignore them. I’ve played matches where I got an EZ 3 cap, and others where I couldn’t get across the field. Sometimes I couldn’t even get out of the flag room. The determining factor was people paying attention.
This is one of the things I despise about RBGBs: The amount of people whining about things, demanding changes that would be bad for the game, to make up for their own mistakes and poor play. We have plenty of tools to slow down/stop a fast EFC. Use them. As a team.
Cool story bro. Ill just play my hunter with 11 CCs and 2 deactivated defensives while FCing. FCing as Ret with 4 defensives unavailable and a stolen BoF feels worse since it has 1 viable cc.
