This may be true for you, but that doesn’t mean it is for everyone. I have plenty of rare mounts I never use, and plenty of common mounts I have set to favorite. Some of us just like the way certain things look, and aren’t worried about how special it makes us feel to have something others don’t.
I have a ton of mounts of them i use only 4 regularly, ashes, the yak, arcanist manasaber and hearthstone horse. everyone will always have their favourites, maybe the slime cat will become someones favourite, or the fel drake.
…and yet time and time again, we see people saying “everyone should be able to have everything! i have x rare thing, and wouldn’t care if everyone had it!”
It will probably be worse than the Slime Cat, about 10% of people have the slime cat. Im sure the feldrake will reach a much higher percentage since all you have to do is click on a stream. In terms of time dedicated, it takes longer to get the slime cat doing the 3 fated raids than having a stream open for 4 hours. What a joke.
As if, reactions now are ‘what a horrendous mount, how many thousands did you pay for it’.
This is what happens when you put value to digital items that are inherently valueless. At least physical collector items are harder or impossible to replicate. They are and will continue to be much more respected than anything digital.
Wasn’t there another digital collection thing, that has now kind of died off now, in a multi trillion dollar market (hint: it definitely isn’t a multi trillion market anymore)? Wow mounts have about as much value as that.
Go buy the Frostmourne for 1.5k usd, that’s a juicy collector item, and physical too.
