Was it ever in question whether other regions wouldn’t be able to get the in-game rewards? I thought the problem people had with the promo was actually getting the real-world products in order to get the codes in the first place.

Yeah, but now it turns out if you hav a solid VPN and codes, you can use them anywhere. Or so we are finding.
It wasn’t clear if it would be a code redeem or something similar to twitch drops. The extra level of scrutiny added by needing a registered US address lead to speculation it could be the latter.

Honestly this isn’t the first promotion Blizz has done like this and it won’t be the last , it’s not the end of the world if you can’t get it.
Sheesh, you need an address? They’re really farming that personal data with this stuff, aren’t they? 
Not to say they can’t already get it, but it hits different when they’re actually soliciting you for it directly.
You’re a weirdo for using “Point Nemo” as the only alternative to the U.S. and EUn, and for being opposed to people from other countries asking for the promo to be available. Burger stereotype lol.

None of the products are listed available where I’m at, but I’ve seen Doritos and rockstar in Sweden.
Not the promotional stuff. And I’ve seen Monster, not Rockstar.
I am in Sweden.
My local Willy’s i Göteborg had cool ranch and nacho Doritos, and I could have sworn I’ve seen rockstar there before. I’ve never seen mountain dew though.
MAYBE you’ll be able to find a candy/snacks store that imports American products if you’re near a bigger city. Idk if the money/item is worth it, it’ll prob be more expensive than just buying an eBay code when they start flooding in.
Also, not sure how they want you to verify your products. If it’s receipts again, the receipt might not properly say what you’re buying.

It can be, it’s already confirmed. Plus if you can loot it on EU, why would anyone think OCE can’t have it considering we are on the same servers as US?
Canada can’t get it - I was able to get the gummie pet once I was given the code by a US friend.
A guy from Canada made a thread on here yesterday that even with a VPN he couldn’t redeem a code though for this one.
Yeh you don’t redeem the code, you let the US person redeem the Dew code and get the Blizzard code, that Blizzard code can be used anywhere.
