Or just casually do all the dailies in every single map (Zuldazar,Kultiras), for 2-3days and you will get it. That’s how I got mine.

No, but you are entitled to voice your dissatisfaction and question the motives behind what’s ultimately a cynical timegate behind a reward that people directly paid for. It doesn’t really inspire confidence in their game design going forward, either. I’m actually baffled that anybody is defending Blizzard on this. It’s a terrible idea, full stop. It serves no other utility than to artificially prevent people from accessing a paid reward.

I think the intention of the quest is for you to get it passively as you travel the world
However, you can grind it in a few hours if you want
Mine took almost 7 hours. Don’t know why, but it took longer than everyone else I was grouped with
Just gotta keep at it if you really want it

pretty sure Girandzim hit the nail on the head with this one. no need for me to come back here - i’m allergic to the young entitled gamers of today. too bad MMO’s don’t have the same elements as RTS - where a gimme gimme gamer doesn’t get anything handed to them without earning it

What makes it a cynical time gate? It takes an hour and some change. It’s not really a time gate in that way. It doesn’t cap you on how many you can earn per week, so it isn’t a time gate in that way. You didn’t pay for the transmog. You paid for the mount, the pet, the month of game time, the character boost and the expansions. The transmog was a fun little free thing that Blizzard thought would be neat.

R N G dude. Ive spend an hour on a stupid get 15 meat quest once where my friend got all of his in 5minutes and I spend just over an hour doing the same because they didnt wanna drop for me.

Mine took 3.5 hours to grind up. At first I thought you got one faster if you let your HP drop under half while killing a bunch at once… you know “Your soul wanders closer to the shadowlands” or something like that but I guess that’s too clever for blizz… NOPE just a straight out awful grind.
Yeah I’ll get right on that lmao. I spent 4-5 hours last night farming the blood trolls and got a total of 7. Nearly every group I’ve joined has been complaining about the terrible drop rate and people are talking about how low it is on Wowhead.

It was just as much a part of the package as the mount and the pet. And I’m sorry to tell you this, but if it legitimately took you an hour, you’re an extreme outlier. I got the set after farming for eight hours straight, and I actually beat someone to the punch who was ahead of me when we started. Don’t use your experience as a metric when the overwhelming consensus is that the drop rate is immensely low and the process takes hours. At that point you’re just being dishonest.
BTW it wasn’t fun. It was excruciating and very very pointless. I don’t see what the point is in making people farm for it, especially with such a low droprate.

What the hell are you talking about? Entitled? Wanting something without earning it? I GAVE THEM MONEY FOR THIS.
If I go to the grocery store and buy 80 bucks worth of groceries, and the cashier tells me I can have 1 item per day over the course of the next 3 weeks - if I get mad at that does that mean I’m entitled? No. I want what I paid for and I don’t think it should be behind some gross arbitrary gate without any sort of warning.
This isn’t some in-game event that I’m whining about. You can defend this all you want (for whatever reason), but the majority of us think this is absurd. The 40 man raid groups I’ve been in today are all expressing the exact same frustration. I guess we’re all entitled and whiny for wanting something after we paid money for it! Shame on us! lawl

I think you should read Girandzim’s post a little more carefully. He explained in detail what you got for that $80 purchase.

it’s not horrible RNG, you’re just having bad luck it seems…like it was mentioned, several people have gotten the transmog already because their strategy in pursuing it was better than yours…maybe learn to ask questions before complaining? that would be a good start.

What “better strategy”? It keeps getting thrown around, but nobody ever elaborates. Everything at the Blood Gate dies instantly - loot - repeat. How can this possibly get more efficient? The entire zone can’t die faster than it already is.

Then they probably shouldn’t have charged $60-80 for it. It should have been a baseline thing.
I swear to god if I see one more person say “You shouldn’t have expected to get it in one day or two” I may scream.
People paid an extra $20-40 for the transmog set. There’s literally no reason the drop rate on this quest should be this freaking low.

I always order physical CE’s and i only have to put down like $10. Good thing I don’t do the digital thing.
