The Eternal Palace hall of fame shows the damage Blizzard has done

Name a horde OP racial?

I mean, i wish I could shadowmeld and completely negate 90% of the trash in mythic dungeons, so I can kill bosses first…

Racials aren’t the issue and never have been. This all started when they added Blood Elves and has only continued to get worse since then. At this point, it has become a vicious feedback loop.

ofc its been racials. stop trying to turn this into a High Elf issue. I’ve seen where u post. If it was a goblin with the racial a blef had itd be the same thing. tho now with DI and Belfs thingy removed there really is no excuse. Shadowmelds even great for M+. Just doesnt attract competitive players anymore.

I mean, it can’t really be blamed. It’s like a second job at that point and hard to commit that much time to raiding in a game.

I agree, alliance players seem to be more casual imo which is fine. I think It’s silly to try and balance factions. You can’t say people’s personal opinions have to be perfectly balanced.

If that was true, then every time one racial or another was buffed or nerfed the factions would swing wildly back and forth in population, which just doesn’t happen.

Nope, it happened in TBC with Blood Elves. Everyone knows this, and to deny it is just being willfully ignorant.

Listen a race that doesn’t bring a broken racial wont cause a knee jerk reaction. High Elves as a race might sound cool to you as an idea but it’s only appealing to RPers and people that just do WQ as their main content. Most of the people posting in that Elf thread haven’t even see a M+10 much less cleared heroic content. Which is fine. However, claiming the idea of a High Elf on Alliance would save it is preposterous when most of you dont even do things that would effect balance anyways.

Edited to sound less aggressive.

So we’ve heard the complaint. What’s your suggested solution?

Short of introducing a broken raid racial idk. People arent gonna switch just cus u give em a free transfer. People have made friends on Horde over the years.

they need to implement something to make rolling alliance more appealing than what’s offered right now. and i don’t mean this AOO quest and 15-30% rewards buff… there needs to be something like a new OP hero class or something similar with an expansion. it’s the only way you’ll get people to willfully roll alliance right now.

53.6% level 120’s on Horde, 46.4% level 120’s on Alliance.

I’ve never seen a more unanimous victim complex.

Blizzard has not done a single thing to cause this.

most of those alliance players are either alts or extremely casual players. the raid and warmode numbers show this.

Yeah, I’m sure.

i sure am.

It does, but the imbalance that emfh was having in arenas is of supremely more magnitude than the imbalance of racials in raids. Having one extra damage trinket, with an on use effect, in PvP while not losing out on the CC clear was outright broken.

too bad i didnt realize the benefits of this back when it was active. i mean, i kinda knew, but i had probably chosen a class that wasnt exactly great at pvp so it evened out. everytime a new expac would come out, i’d read up on what the best healer was for pve content, which didnt always have equal pvp perks, and roll a new one.

part of the problem has always been the lotr effect: a player sees that its a classical rpg with traditional fantasy races, and selects the faction with the most traditional good aligned races, like elves, dwarves and humans. so immediately, alliance has the highest population of new players who dont know what they are doing. this plays out in bgs, which frustrates more seasoned players, who eventually go horde for the better pvper experience. rinse wash repeat.

yeah but i was a female human paladin in level 19 bgs, which though good, we still got our butts handed to us on a silver platter. but then our pve server was paired on the battlegroup with a horde pvp server. you can just imagine.

yeah they did but they didnt do that thing in bfa. they did it in legion. before they nerfed or rather changed, arcane torrent, they had made some m+ fights easier with arcane torrent and some easier with goblin rocket jump. this resulted in horde m+ guilds placing consistently higher on m+ competitive charts, causing alliance m+ guilds to transfer their entire guilds to horde, to the tune of a few thousand dollars. this caused guilds who were trying to copy the success of the former alliance guilds, to also transfer. soon, a bunch of raiding guilds, m+ and just normal raiding, transferred to horde.

enter stage left, bfa. devs have responded by buffing alliance racials, nerfing arcane torrent but then making some m+ fights easier with the new nerfed belf racial haha. so here we are, problem not getting worse, but not getting better either.

lol, inc 30% damage and healing bonus for Alliance in raids.

in brazil, its 95 percent horde and 5 percent alliance. lol i wonder if they buffed just brazilian alliance if that 5 percent would go up. :sunglasses:
