Show us your superiority, by playing the class/spec/build that the internet told you to.
The main difference being the Prot Paladin cannot die while leveling because of Paladins insane defensive utility. Meanwhile, Warriors embrace the sweet, cold caress of death as a part of the leveling process.
Phase 3 is actually the best phase for Spelladin. Tier 2 is basically built for it. After that I think theyâre out of luck.
Iâm sorry you are hallucinating wildly about what your class can do.
Says the guy who is spouting nonsense with 0 evidence to back it up. Stop being ignorant and at least look at the available evidence and use logic. If a 5 man can be completed in reasonable time with just classes that you consider carries, logically speaking they arenât being carried. If you can manage to use logic instead of fallacious statements, please do.
Spelladin lol. Well, the itemization in Vanilla still had Strength to contend with.
I just always thought Proto-Shockadin sounded cooler.
That and using the equivalent spec for warrior is the most literal hell inducing spec for solo play.
I played a paladin to rank 10 in Vanilla. Holy is not just the best spec for pallies it is one of the best specs that any class in the game can play. By purposely nerfing yourself you are placing a burden on every other player in your faction. This is INDISPUTABLE.
Itâs a game, the only burden is one they put on themselves. A healing paladin is amazing, but you should specify what it is good at. If itâs just healing, then wouldnât it be less than ideal in a group of healers? You are looking from one angle while there are a multitude. Ya, a ret paladin will never beat out a warrior on the dps meter, but that warrior will never be able to cleanse a target either. You think the game is hard enough to actually warrant every one putting 100% effort to beat the game? The game design makes it simply unnecessary which means no one is a burden unless they just arenât doing anything.
These meme specs are just like sleeper cars. You take a piece of crap car and try to push it as it can go. Why? Because itâs a challenge, and a 300HP pinto is unexpected and hilarious. Does it ever compete with a 700+HP Ferrari? Hell no, but thatâs not the point. At the same time, people looking for a new car shouldnât be mislead about what theyâre buying.
What you are doing is called rationalization and is in no way supported by actual data.
Yours is just jumping on the elitist bandwagon.
Specifically, what isnât supported by data? If you canât specify, then your statement was a waste of your time and energy which is what my response to your ignorant statements are starting to be.
And itâs not like a ret or prot canât healâŚ

Show us your superiority, by playing the class/spec/build that the internet told you to.
Not quite.
Show us your superiority by playing the spec that is superior. Has nothing to do with being told to do it.

I played a paladin to rank 10 in Vanilla. Holy is not just the best spec for pallies it is one of the best specs that any class in the game can play. By purposely nerfing yourself you are placing a burden on every other player in your faction. This is INDISPUTABLE.
If by indisputable you mean BS⌠YES, correctâŚ
whereâs the proof?
Youâre wasting a DPS slot as a Warlock that could have been filled by a Warrior or MageâŚâŚâŚunless of course youâre okay with being a stone and curse bot.
https ://classic.warcraftlogs.com/character/us/bigglesworth/keiroboy
Yeah, he doesnât do 1200 DPS on Lucifron, but also doesnât need much gear to pass DPS checks.
Iâm not too big on the spellpower train but itâs pretty cool seeing a Ret do close to 500 DPS on some fights in MC wearing random blues people deem useless.
Iâm not here to argue viability or what is meta and proper.
If youâre telling people how to play and what to do and canât see beyond the simple fun in theorycrafting, then whatever. Move on. Sit in your shell and ruminate and ree at people that take your entitlements (gear, raid spot, etc.) to your cucumber-shaped pillow.
The fact that people are still experimenting with a 15 year old game and finding new ways to conquer it should be championed, not vilified.
We want this to work and go this distance right?
Arenât we all on the same team here?
Measure your meters and compare your shoe size but donât belittle someone for doing something they love. That just makes you a wretch.
imagine thinking youre carrying while you hit 1 button for a 1:42 kill instead of a 1:37 kill.

Yes, but he just uses to main bosses.
You can swap for a fast 2 handed like Brainhacker in between smaller/easier fights
Blade of Hanna. High DPS (60) and 2.1 speed. Used to use it for mana regen when judging wisdom.
The problem with this spec is two fold.
-
It doesnât scale well. Its been tried before and for entering MC its solidâŚbut its downhill from here.
-
Everything that makes a well played geared Ret worth bringing hes NOT using. To make this work hes using Sanc Aura and you need to maintain JoTCâŚ
No Jow
No Imp Dev
Which quite frankly are the 2 big things that Ret brings to account for their lower DPS output.
Pure physical Ret scales betterâŚbecause there is plenty of Plate DPS itemization due to Warriors existing.
As Ret your going to do far less damageâŚbut you bring other things to the table that are raid wide improvements that can make your presence worth it IF your guild takes advantage of it.
This build will far short of DPS and has NO utility.
Its the reason it failed before and it will fail again as content progresses.
I hate saying that because I love boundary testing for the hybridsâŚbut sadly its true
