Now you must be an enchanter or JC to benefit from enchanter/jc unique enchants/gems. No making 100 gems stockpile and dropping jc for another profession. Have to stay JC
These are good changes.
Now come on blizz, fix drums. You can do it. We believe in you. it may just be difficult to hear us with your tinnitus
It is a good change. Sadly, theyâre still really out of touch with other elements of the game. Drums is a big mistake. And using old boss health values, another terrible decision. Itâs strange how they can be smart about some things, but incredibly wrong about others.
I can understand why they donât remove the LW requirement from Drums. What I donât understand is why they donât double the duration to 1 minute. Having 10 LWorkers in raid is a lot easier to manage than 20.
Thereâs no way they leave drums as is, I think theyâre just being reaaallly careful on the next proposed idea since the first proposal was so hated
I think thereâs a very high chance of them leaving it as is. They tried to sell it to us as âgreat memories of stacking drumsâ like weâd all just fall in line after that explanation
On one hand, itâs ⌠âphilosophically consistentâ ⌠with how profession bonuses should work.
On the other hand, if youâre nerdmaxâing to the point that you need to re-learn Enchanting/Jewelcrafting every time you get a âBISâ upgrade, well⌠those of us who make bank via the AH will thank you for your compulsory need to parse +0.02%.
The same post that the enchanting/JC change is discussed also indicated that the first raid iteration didnât have their nerf revert applied to it so weâll have to see what happens when they do round 2 of the raid testing. I hope they get it right
Make drums a trinket that provides an aura to party members that provides a smaller haste benefit constantly. That way only one member of the group will need to be a leatherworker, but they will have to choose between that and other personal trinkets.
The fact that they are changing Jewelcrafting and Enchanting, regardless if what the original intent was, without changing Leatherworking drums is stupid. Literally nobody complained about the state of ring enchants or JC specific gems, but EVERYONE has had problems with the way drums work.
Itâs already been alleged (I know the tweet says he talks to blizz itself, but I donât have an offical blizz statement) that the beta is currently NOT using the intended prepatch values. Non issue now until further testing with the prenerfs.
How recent is this change? I ask because TBC ring enchants have been bound to the enchanting profession since⌠always. In other words, I didnât think this was new information. Just making sure I didnât miss anything:)
You had to have the profession to apply the enchant/make the gem, but you didnât have to have the profession for the effect to work. Thatâs why you could level enchanting, enchant your ring, and then drop enchanting and level another profession. Youâd still get the benefits of the enchant
Sure you stop some psycos from stressing out and doing it for every ring they get but I always thought it was something cool to do on your super bis toon as like the final cherry on top when your character was completed.
I support this change, partly because my charactersâ professions are part of their âidentityâ if you will, to whatever extent ârole-playingâ is actually part of this MMORPG
It should be a personal buff only, even if itâs buffed or nerfed a little. just as I canât benefit from someone with JC or enchanting.
Keep it consistent
