while I don’t have a problem with them reworking echoing reprimand, I have a problem with them adding an additional talent point requirement. please make supercharger a single point node.
That doesn’t bother me as much as making it another passive that you can’t work around unlike Echoing where you could decide how and when the anima points were spent (sans not benefitting from spec passives involving combo points, but that should’ve been fixed a long time ago).
it bothers me a lot.
They need to hire you to sit in the dev team’s room and smack away the dumb ideas, cause you’re on fire all up and down the rogue forums
Shadowlands and ER are both garbage, nobody needs a mini-game running in the middle of their rotation. The sooner they get rid of it the better.
Preach. It’s one of the most awful skills they’ve ever designed - so stupid, clunky, and unfun. Also super boring thematically.
I didn’t dislike ER that much but the problem is the new ER on the PTR is just a passive that you never notice that it goes off. Arguably worse than the passive Thistle Tea on the PTR.
Unless you’re playing at a very very high level and min/maxing every single skill, these changes won’t affect you. I don’t get all the complaining. I’ve looked at a lot of profiles and the profiles on here don’t do any high end content. Less buttons are always welcome. Embrace the change and enjoy it. Learn to adapt and move on.
On the PTR it is just extra numbers that go off without you noticing at all. Just a strange change in general.
I refuse to touch ER. Even now. It feels completely out of theme with the rest of the tree and I really can not get behind the idea of “supercharging” combo points. I don’t care how much a damage nerf it is. Frankly they should probably delete the talents involving it and give use something new.
ER and it’s associated talents do very much feel “Combat-y”. Like they are harkening back to that old spec. If that’s the case and I’m reading the vibes correctly it’s poor imitation that just comes out of left field in our talent tree.
They should commit to the bit and make the left path of the tree generally “combat” and the right path of the tree “crackshot”
Think of it like a backwards way of saving energy. Instead of burning that extra 45 energy or a stack of pistol shot for that little bump in combo points, you just hit your spender.
I just want supercharger to be a 1 talent point node, replacing talents is fine, just make them affordable.
the dev team definitely needs another member who does not play the class or their game to make design decisions
Out of all the SL abilities to stay and make it into the core tree I was mega dissapointed it was ER.
I wanted so badly to see Bonespike make it, and later be turned into a more fleshed out “throw” or “deadly throw” complete with glyphs for pistols, hand crossbows, throwing knives, shurikens, throwing axes, and all the like.
But no. That would have been cool. Better to keep ER and then remove MfD for some reason even though ER is basically MfD’s ugly cousin who took steroids to be cool and still no one wants to be around them cause they are annoying.
Oh the mechanics of it can be solid. Great even.
Won’t touch it. “Echoing Reprimand” WTF is this word salad? Reprimand? How do you get to the idea of Reprimanding from Recuperator?? Maybe if we still had Reposte and ER proc’d off us countering attacking.
And then you go into Anima??? Nothing else in that talent tree has anything to do with Anima!
It’s adds to Outlaws lack of cohesive identity.
I literally won’t touch it simply for how egregiously off theme it is. I’ll just do less damage in Outlaw. Sucks for me.
Trying supercharger on the PTR is not bad at all as it is closer to a hybrid of how ER functioned with Anticipation.
The problem is the new ER is just very meh for a cap stone. Not worth investing honestly. Low damage, and doesn’t bypass armor.
The real Achilles Heel of Outlaw.
I just don’t like that they added the additional talent point requirement.
I have a problem with it.
It should have been for sub only
After my testing a bit on the PTR investing 1 out of 2 talent into it is pointless. With Subterfuge putting 1 point out of 2 or even Vigor you can still use those talents to change game play. But super charger really falls flat if you invest 1 out of 2 points into it.
That is why yes it should be made into 1 talent point.
