The dungeons in War Within are terrible

The only one that sucks is Dawnbreaker.

Mostly fine with all of them but Darkflame, that dungeon is a dumpster fire and the light/dark mechanic sucks. The non-interruptable kobolds that knock everything back at the start are annoying also.

My main complaint with Dawnbreaker is the jankiness with skyriding on the first part (clipping on the ropes and such), but you’re basically required to have it for the last boss.

None of them are really a “good” design I think. Preferred the shadowlands dungeons of the most recent things.

I think the dungeons are great, not one I dislike. Someone may say ‘honeymoon phase’ but I distinctly remember having a gut feeling about many DF and SL dungeons going ‘this is what the M0 is like…?’

As ranged caster not being able to get off a spell having to move every second because some garbage is under me.

Wait till you do m+ on them. If you test them in beta you will hate them. There are many CC you have to put out or the group is going to wipe. Chain fear anyone? There is also a lot of range mobs so your either have to LoS or have a hard time deal with them. There is also a few dungeons where cleanse posion is a must

I did them all on the beta of key levels 6 or higher and they were just fine.

+6 puff. you don’t even know mechanics. Try a +10.

Uhh, no. You’d still do mechanics in a 6 lol.

I agree with most of your points. I had thought to myself about how uninteresting the dungeons are this expansion. None of them really feel fun to me.

Oh come on you dont like the implied mounting in combat that my entire group didnt understand? Or what about the flying around to objectives and then going to the last one just to be dismounted and die 10 feet up. deadmines was better than anything they released.

So what is your idea of an ideal dungeon?

Let me guess you want to walk in, press 1 button with 5 bosses lined up, no adds or mechanics and in 30 sec you get loot from all 5 bosses and walk out?

that’s actually what a lot of players want. If it’s not unga bunga and straightforward, then it sucks

so…dawnbreaker is poorly designed…
but any negative observations about the
rest is just “whining”?
you do understand that different people
feel differently about different things
in the world…yes?
and that your opinion is just…your opinion.

Expansion in general has been disappointing. Small with content that ranges from average to poor.

This thread has taught me that i should really learn the names of dungeons and stop calling them "the ship dungeon " , “the bees” "the spider one in the city ", "the one with the candle " etc etc

I’m really enjoying the dungeons overall.

Dawnbreaker : Like the concept, could be improved with a few small tweaks. (fix drag when flying to and from ships. Better newbie guidance for on ground parts. Many tanks don’t know where to go)
Darkflame Cleft : Love the T-Rex chase. Doesn’t feel long because it’s an active fight (with dynamite). Love how the big candles light up when you kill a fire add in blazikon room. Waxbeard screaming stupid is fun. I would die for Skitter.
Stonevault : Pretty standard dungeon. No complaints, but no major highlights.
Priory : Like the architecture. Fights are ok. Kinda over religious zealots.
Ara-Kara : Ok dungeon. Complaints are mostly how people choose to run (I mean run) this dungeon. Can you at least avoid the web bomb things when you’re pulling the whole dungeon?
City of Threads : Finding spies is ok since it’s quick enough (if you know where you’re going), the rest is pretty standard.
Cinderbrew Meadery : Love the music. Starting a pub fight is cool. Big Bees!!! Tanks never go back to pick up slime adds when the spawn…
The Rookery : Cool setting. All the jumping down and falling will probably grow old on me.

as a wow hater i must say two things. first, these are the best dungeons ive ever played. secondly, stop crying like a b****. that is all.

we got less content than wod lmfao

It is hard to reply to you seriously when your criticism boils down to:

  • There are these unnamed mobs that spawn between bosses
  • These mobs have mechanics that needs to be dealt with and don’t just insta die
  • I predict everyone will get lost in this one place because I didn’t have omniscient understanding the first time I have done this place ever
  • What if people don’t do the mechanics and then it will be too hard.

what?

I think the only ones I really dislike are dawnbreaker and the candle one, those just suck.
