Just curious how ye feel about brackenhide, nokkud, and some of the other dungeons from df?
These are also some of the shortest or smallest dungeons we’ve ever had I think. If they didn’t add in a ton of filler we’d be getting through them in less than 5 minutes
People don’t have time for long dungeons, they have 12 kids 3 wives and 7 jobs, ain’t nobody has time for that!!!
No I mean months
Sounds like you find them all easy. Maybe they should make em harder then.
Honestly dont know if they are good or bad. Everyone does them so fast I still havent even really done any of them even though iv been in them many times. How easy it is really sucks though, tanks that do the whole dungeon by themself. So far worst expansion experience
I know, I know. The expansion is perfect. It’s amazing. They haven’t done a single thing wrong. It’s 10/10 on every level. ABK is perfect and I love them for being perfect. I love Microsoft. We love Microsoft. We love ABK. World of Warcraft should win GOTY every year for the next 43054854839384 years. We get it.
Are you… Mentally inebriated? Or projecting?
I like the dungeons, sure. I dislike the 3 to 7 day world quests and I so far dislike the gating on the content that actually makes this game an MMO.
The Dungeons are a mixed bag with TWW, IMO. I use them primarily for leveling because they reward the most XP and the chance at an item. Whereas world quests, delves, normal quests are a total boring grind where you’ll literally be wasting item rewards. (the item level reward is too low, so wait until you level up, it will make the item level reward much higher; I have quest turn-ins on “stand-by” until I level up more, so the item is a higher item-level when I turn it in)
IMO, dungeons as they are, best to worst (and why);
Good:
- The Stonevault
- The Rookery
- Prior of the Sacred Flame
- Ara-Kara, City of Echoes
- Cinderbrew Meadery (almost made the other list - I’ve seen too many wipes at the very beginning and at the first boss too, the latter being players are too confused when boss becomes invincible and not realizing at all, since it’s not explained at all, the ‘arcade-game’ mini-game you have to complete to get the boss ‘back’, to be able to continue the fight and defeat 'em)
Double-plus-ungood!:
6. The Dawnbreaker (actually not THAT bad, but seems to be the least popular because of the unexplained mechanics, which takes some getting used to; not as bad as Darkflame Cleft, IMO, but still annoying)
7. City of Threads (too long, feels like a mini-raid, finding the “queen’s eyes” you have to run all over the place and everyone is confused where they are at as nothing is marked, just a huge-time waster and utterly boring, this needs to be totally redesigned to be smaller or just make it an official raid jeez)
8. Darkflame Cleft (worst dungeon, mostly due to the stupid “darkness vs. candles” and other mini-games, I’ve soon too many players run around in confusion; it’s a like a silly arcade game like Burger Time or something, just terrible)
I like every single TWW dungeon more than any DF dungeons, except maybe the Academy because it was funny.
The thematics of TWW dungeons are just better, imo. DF dungeons felt more relaxed, like a vacation lol. Just inherently less dangerous.
“What are these BURDS doing here?”
No, I am agreeing with everything you said. Not one single flaw in any of the dungeons. They are 10/10 perfect. No 11/10 perfect. Amazing work.
Haha. I agree. I used to love running 5 mans, but with the current dungeon design and attitude of the players, 5 mans are a total chore.
This is unplayable for me. I’m just wandering around aimlessly for 30 minutes for the last one that doesn’t even tell you where to start looking.
All the dungeons have way too much trash.
Gimmicks, puzzles, mini-games, and vehicles suck in dungeons (and raids).
I want to play my character, not play hide n seek, some candle mini-game, or flying.
Not happy adding Darkflame, City of Threads, or Dawnbreaker to the leveling queue, though I guess this is better than Blizzard nerfing XP or something else to slow down alts.
nobody knows where to go. yes, that’ll improve with practice and time and as the community decides on “the route”.
mob density is insane. there are lots of places you just can’t land, and if one person messes it up but lands close enough to get the rest of the group in combat, it may be a wipe.
Dawnbreaker and City of threads are abysmal, Imagine thinking these would be well received by the playerbase, is blizzard even trying anymore? The rest are average-below average dungeos.
I think the others are just minor annoyances which can be overcome with proper ccs, but threads… yea that is completely unavoidable nonsense.
They made trash more powerful and more annoying to offset the changes they made to M+ affixes.
I have played only a few of them but i can say for sure: PUG this season is gonna be HELL.
And the DF dungeons were absolute garbage.
