The dungeons in War Within are terrible

this is the one that gets me the most
three entire mobs in the dungeon use a fear at the start (6s cast time btw), and then you never see it again and one boss has minimal movement at all, and the rest are nearly stationary
seems like all the complaints are formulated from a hyperbolic description of the dungeons rather than an informed or even experienced one

Most of your complaints are just “I don’t wanna do mechanics!!!” but this one is especially funny:

Stun and kill the beetles with their 500 second “help!” cast and you won’t have to worry about random stuff "coming out of nowhere.

You don’t love the Diablo style dungeons?

so many… thats the only instanced dungeon where i get subpar fps. it hitches all the way until 3/4 into the dungeon where it finally settles.

hope they figure it out before it ends up in a rotation.

never seen that happen in a dungeon. whoever designed it needs to be yelled at.

Honestly city of threads is the only dungeon i find boring because of the assassin search. other than that, the dungeons are alright.

Yea I think cinderbrew is way overtuned. Massive AoE damage pretty much the whole dungeon. Compared to the rest of the pool aside from priory I’d say it’s way harder

Thank goodness. Skips end up being a hindrance

I get what you are saying about the dungeons but imo I like these ones way better than DF ones. I will say though, dungeons for quite awhile have been hit or miss. IMO the last one I really loved was Waycrest Manor in BfA. But other than that, nothing really made me go “WOW! This place is awesome” since the Vanilla dungeons before Waycrest Manor.

Dawnbreaker takes the cake for one of the worst dungeons of all time. I also really hate the consecration in Priory.

With their built in “commercial break” mechanics that involve everything but playing my character in combat. Which is what I join dungeons for.

The only one thats going to be annoying is Darkflame because the Darkness is such not a good boss and the section sucks.

Dawnbreaker gets too much hate - though they should make the orbs for the final boss bigger.

It’s like when they make your curry too spicy and you can’t eat it.

I hate that.

id settle for no boss phase where you gotta fly away and wait for the purple explosion. me wants to dps and press buttons, not leave the scene and wait.

I’ve already had that group in dawnbreaker where people land and pull mobs from every corner of the city lol. Especially if the boss dude happens to be walking in a mob dense area of the town.

Like in mythic+ are you supposed to just sit in flight and wait for him to move? A roaming boss is not good

This one is quite easy with a group who knows what they are doing, I don’t find it annoying at all

With a group who actually does the candle mechanics this dungeon is a joke including the last boss

Just having a group that knows how to CC/interupts makes this dungeon a joke

This one is also very easy with a group who knows where to go, the only annoying things is the paladin mobs ground AoE

If people kill the bug mobs that are clearly slowly casting the alert this dungeon is also a joke

With a tank who knows the route this is an easy dungeon almost on joke level

The only part of this dungeon that’s annoying is when people don’t do the drink mechanic

Like you said easy

Seems like most of complaints come down to skill issue so pugging might suck but premade all of these dungeons will be easy and fine.

I like Cinderbrew Meadery and Darkflame Cleft. The candle mechanic is pretty fun. :upside_down_face:

They are better than DF dungeons, at least.

Love it.

Love it. Especially the last boss.

Moving is a good thing on bosses.

Well designed and short.

Eh its pretty good.

Love it.

Honestly it is not that bad, I do not like the bosses but the trash is fine.

Eh its ok. My least favorite for sure.

I like the design of cinderbrew but think it’s overtuned. And dark flame cleft might get easier as people get accustomed to it but I’m going to suspect it’ll get nerfed when we start adding affixes to it

Not all of them are bad.

I like The Rookery and Priory.

5 others are mid.

Dawnbreaker gets a 1/10 for me.

What I don’t understand is people claiming these mechanics are “new” or “unique” or that Blizzard is “taking a risk.”

We flew around all over nokhud just last expansion. We flew during combat just last expansion (Tindral).

We chased spies just last expansion (CoS in M+/Timewalking can’t remember which it was). Edit: It was both. It was S1 M+ rotation and we also of course saw it in the timewalking rotation.

Nothing about these is new, unique, or Blizzard “taking a chance” on anything.
