I agree, back and side sheathing should have been an option years ago. I’m not sure how hard it is to do with spaghetti code but man it would be nice

I mean, QA doesn’t read GD so this thread is currently useless for getting it fixed. Move it to bug reports if you want it to be seen by the right team.

Don’t worry, I only made this thread to see if other people were experiencing my issue at the time, I have made a bug report and I was told it was “being looked into” All is good…just waiting for the day now. It’s just a low-priority issue in the queue.

They don’t seem to read those either, there’s been a thread about it in the Bug Reports section for two months now:

The fated version of the devouring cold on use isn’t working at all to switch from a on hip appearance to on your back, when I click it the weapon it will play and animation like I pulled my swords off my back but does nothing, also I looked on wowhead and it said it should show something in chat that it changed to something like the changeling trinket from mist but it doesn’t. And when viewed in the xmog tab and the npcs to change xmog and i right click the sword only the hip version is there, …

They know its an issue, I submitted a ticket and got a response basically saying " we are aware but its not on our list of things to do"

They dont care, its cosmetic thing so its been thrown in the too hard to do right now pile and will likely never get looked at along with things like Nelf Male shoulders being broken

I did the on use effect with the LFR one I got way back in 9.1 and then vendored it. Now I am using it for one of my prot mogs and it is permanently stuck on my back!

Right click the mog and select the 2nd version when applying it.

Its the fated version that is broken.

Blizz failed to copy the Normal weapon over to a vendor without breaking it and now refuse to fix the issue

Just checked this out on beta. I have the fated heroic quality sword, the on use seems to work again and the weapon moved to my back, but it switched to the normal quality color. That’s an improvement at least? lol

Well they fixed the back sheating change.

Problem is my Mythic red version turns into a Normal colored one on the back and the Mythic back sheath appearance won’t unlock :
