Here we go again…
Not used to this from Blizzard, but I guess I should start to see it as the new status quo from Blizzard. I bought Warcraft III: Reforged, which should have been pretty easy for simple recoding to format to Windows 10 as well as some basic graphic updates that really are not all that noticeable from the original (which was removed upon Reforged FINALLY getting released). But is this now what we are to expect? I get a few delays, but this… this is just the new norm with Blizzard. How long will this release be pushed back? Will it be like Reforged where they said “:Later this year” and it didn’t actually release until the following year? I guess time will tell . I really hope this is not what to expect from future Blizzard endeavors.

You’ve convinced all of us to hate Blizzard with that post.

Wasn’t BC delayed? This isn’t new. It’s done when it’s done.

Welcome to Blizzard games! This is how it used to be, they released products when they were ready.

Believe me…it needs to be delayed. The games got serious issues right now. Just be glad Blizz recognized it!

Honestly, if there are substantial issues like what keeps being discussed in here, it should be delayed. Blizzard used to have a knack for “it’s ready when it’s ready.” But WoD showed that they had moved away from that.
I don’t want another expansion released like WoD. BfA was bad, but WoD had an entire patch cut out of it, along with entire zones and a bunch of other things that were in the art book. BfA was because they didn’t list to beta testers.
I’m hopeful that them taking the time to fine tune the expansion and hopefully listening to people will ensure a better launch. I’m not holding my breath that this will happen, but I’m hoping.

If Blizzard commits to release a product when its ready, then I promise that I, Sir Moob Moobington the 3rd, will commit to being irrational and vitriolic on the forums.

Weird saying since they only ever publicly delayed TBC back then and their launches weren’t all carrots and peas.
Actually, this reminds me of the Blizzard of old. They wouldn’t release a product till it was ready. I’m glad they made this decision as I would imagine it was very difficult to do.
I’m sure they know that some schedule their lives around the release. I would imagine that point did come up, but the advantages of delaying most likely outweighed the disadvantages and so their decision was made.
I personally commend them for holding off till they have a product they believe is worthy of release. It shows that they still care for this relic of a game and it’s overall playerbase.

It should be far more concerning that it needs to be delayed.
I’m glad it was delayed. Unsub and stop posting here if it upsets you that much. Otherwise your just generating more hype around their product and you have to pay to access these forums (unless that has changed)
Have people really forgotten that “Coming Soon TM*” is a blizzard staple?
Activision you’re really dropping the ball.

And of course dont forget that every other expac or game ever created was done so during a pandemic. I swear some people are as sharp as a basketball.

Delaying SLs is actually a good thing. It shows they care enough to put out a better product.
At least I hope so.

Where the heck of you been for the last 16 years? Blizzard has delayed released a number of times in order to make sure they released a playable product.
If you want something that is just tossed out so that they meet the estimated date I am sure there are a lot of crap companies out there that will meet your expectations.

Blizzard: 2 delays in a year, one of which due to a worldwide pandemic.
Forum Posters: “Is this the new norm?”

There have been prepatches before that lasted 6 weeks
Well, firstly, 2020. COVID has had something of an affect on businesses across the world. If you think gaming companies are immune to that effect, I think you might be a bit wrong.
And how is it the “norm” for Blizzard. World of Warcraft hasn’t had an expansion release delayed since 2006. I think we can say it’s been a while.
I think most of us would prefer it be delayed and be good, given the unusual circumstances of the time, rather than they toss it out and we really have reasons to complain.

Yeah it’s good for Blizzard losing subs left right and centre.

I want the release to get pushed back a year. That way I have a whole year to imagine I can afford the brutosaur (I won’t be able to anyway).
